I'm Not Sure Why This Backpack Has Great Reviews

I'm saddened that I fell for the internet once again. I switched from my other brand backpack, figuring the Northface has such a good reputation for quality, and the reviews here were solid, and I've regretted it since. This backpack is designed terribly. It is nearly impossible to get anything out of this backpack easily, and it holds nowhere near its stated capacity. But probably most annoying, they cut the front pocket off well before halfway down, which you might think at least gives you more space at the bottom, but no, it does not. I would not recommend this at all, unless you are looking for a pack that doesn't hold much and makes you work to access what little it does hold

Great Backpack!

This is the perfect size. My 11 and 17 yo sons both have them. My 17 yo has had his for four years and it’s been great. My younger son needed a new backpack and since he’s going to middle school in the fall I knew this would be a good one he can use through high school and probably even college. I’ve been purchasing North Face items since 1994. I still have my first item, the stowable rain jacket, and it’s still in great shape! I’ve had vests, fleece jackets, gloves, etc.and. they look classic and not outdated.

Solid But Not Exceptional

I bought this on clearance, definitely happy with the price. It's pretty durable, has an interior laptop sleeve that doesn't take up much room. The interior pocket is roomy enough but does not expand to allow more packing room. Pros: very comfortable padding and material on the back and shoulder straps; very spacious water bottle pockets on each side. Cons: small overall, sits high on the back as it is not long top to bottom; this is not suitable as a daypack for hiking unless you don't intend to carry much gear

Great Price, Great Size!

I had a great backpack that I used for years but the shoulder straps began to separate from body. I needed a replacement and the Jester was excellent to fill the need.

I Hate Every Day With This Bag

My wife bought me this as a father's day gift to replace the original northface backpack that was amazing. This is so poorly designed. The front pocket where you keep all your small items is only cut to the center of the bag... causing it to constantly fall over when placed in a car, chair or floor. the bag looks really nice on. I used it as a daily driver for my work laptop and gear. But i dread it. When i travel i use the old Northface bag.

I Would Absolutely Not Buy This Again

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the padding is nice and thick. The pocket in the front (top) is not functional. Anytime it's unzipped, everything I have spills out of it.
