Don't Buy, Poor Quality

I've had these shorts for 6 months and the quality is terrible. Specifically, the stitching on the inside waistband has unravelled causing the shorts to completely fall apart. Don't waste your money.

Great Shorts

Perfect combination of not too loose and not too tight. Pockets allow for a minimum amount of gear whent out on the trail or just around town. Moisture wicking and a very comfortable fabric.

Tight Fit

High quality construction but tighter than other brands. Recommend ordering a size up unless you are slim fit.

Tactical Short

Purchased these shorts for intense workouts and races based on the name and description. After only 3-4 times of use the inseam on the waist band is falling apart, fraying from the stitching. For someone who purchases their products regularly I am severely disappointed. Definitely doesn’t live up to its name!

The Quality And Size Has Gone Down Hill

I love these shorts but the quality has gone hill, in 4 months both pairs I purchased are fraying at the waistband. Way smaller than the pairs I purchased 5 years ago. Really disappointed because I do like the shorts, wish they were made better.

Waistband Quality Issues

Loved the earlier versions of these shorts, but unfortunately they’ve changed the waistband material/quality. The new waistbands do not stretch well, and the stitching breaks down very quickly. Recently purchased three pairs in size large, and all three waistbands are unraveling in several places.

Issues With The Waistband Stitching.

Bought 3 pairs, within 2-3 months, the stitching on all 3 pairs was starting to come out. I ended up qualifying for a gift card for the warranty, but still not sure if the issue has been fixed in recent product runs.

Size Change And Poor Return Games

I ordered multiple replacements for my tactical shorts during the Christmas sale (had my others for 4 years with daily wear). Same shorts, same colors- totally different fit. Tenthousand shutdown returns after Christmas so I am stuck with 3 pair that do not fit. The colors were black and gray, so not seasonal colors that have final sales btw.

Disappointing Fit On An Otherwise Great Short

Having owned the Session, Interval, and Foundation shorts, I’ve come to expect nothing but excellence from this brand. The Tactical shorts continue that trend in terms of premium materials and aesthetic—the zippered pockets are a fantastic, functional touch. However, I’m giving these a lower rating due to a clear quality control issue. The waistband is significantly too tight for the garment, causing the fabric to pinch and create awkward creases. At this price point, I expect flawless execution, and unfortunately, these fell short.

Nice Short With Some Waistband Issues

Overall I really want to like these shorts —have used them for workouts, light hikes, and yoga—unfortunately the stitching on the waistband is already coming out after just a few uses. For the price and appearance of quality I’d expect better. Overall look and design are great, I just hope TT takes another look at the waistband stitching.

Disappointing—poor Quality For The Price

I’ve had 2 pairs of the Tactical Shorts, and I love the design and fit but they feel cheaply made. I thought they might have figured that out after the first round, but nope. On my second pair, ordered 8/2025, the waistband seams started blowing out literally the second time I put them on. I can still wear them, but they’re falling apart. I guess QC is not a priority.

Sizes In A Large Are Different

Hello I bought a large and they fit perfectly. They were amazing, versitile and durable. . . Perfect! Bought a second pair and the size was complely different. I just can use them at all. Total bummer

Poor Quality

I’ve never tried these shorts and I’ve always washed them on gentle. But there’s snacks in the material threats to hang out in the waist line is almost completely falling apart, not worth the price.
