Needs A Longer Neckshade

I have a sundancer hat that I wear when I garden and I needed something not quite as extreme to wear for hiking on vacation, so I got this sport hat. The ponytail window is great! That is why I bought this version. Perfect for keeping long hair off my neck. The neck drape needs to be 2-3 inches longer. I am going to have to wear a collared shirt to keep from burning my neck, if I put my hair up. That will be hotter than if they had just made the shade little longer.

I love boonie hats, but the Sport Hat can keep out all angles of sunlight. It is feathery light on your head, but it is still rugged. This is my third one as others finally wore out or got damaged. This hat will stay in place in a strong wind if you cinch down the chin strap. I wear it kayaking on big expanses of water with no wind break. The L/XL hat fit me well. I hope that Sunday Afternoons keeps selling these hats forever.

Fits My Big Head!

Sunday Afternoons hats are high quality and this one fits right in. Love the color! I have a big head and the L/XL has room to spare. I am able to cinch it down to just the right size. Ponytail holder could be slightly bigger so I can get my fingers in to pull my hair through, but works. I will admit that I feel slightly dorky in this hat, but that is about me, not the hat. I have to keep the sun off (high risk of skin cancer) and this hat is much more effective than sunscreen (and much less greasy!). Appreciate the chin strap too for windy days.
