Best I’ve Tried, Please Add Orange And Gray!

Best short-brimmed hat out there. The brim doesn’t hit my string when I’m shooting my bow, and both the fit and construction are the best in the product class. I have the blue “mineral” color, an I’d buy a second if they came in a medium or even dark gray, and even a third if there were an orange that’s slightly less obnoxious (more red?) than the hunter “blaze” orange for being outside in the fall.

Love these caps in every way but the sweat stains are lot of other people are a real bummer! The only one that look decent after use is the black one. The colored caps show the sweat line clearly and it doesn’t come out with hand washing. Such a bummer!!!

Sweat Stains :(

I really like this hat, but sweat quickly stains the forehead area no matter how often I launder it. Even Shout spray can’t get the stains out. Sunday Afternoons stood behind the product and sent a new one, but that one also showed stains after the first hot day. I tried laundering it right away but I didn’t have any more success than I did with the one I had let the stain build up. It is a great hat, not suitable for wearing in town once the stain starts.

Nice Fitting Hat With One Fatal Flaw

I've had various incarnations of this hat dating back to 2011. At some point the design slightly changed and there is now one significant flaw. For some reason after only a couple wearings every one of these hats*, in every color, has developed what looks like a sweat/oil stain where the brim meets the body of the hat. It's really frustrating because it's not actually sweat, and I don't have oily skin or anything, but it's like the material wicks skin oil off your forehead and permanently stains the hat. It's more noticeable on the darker colors than the lighter ones. I've tried washing them, woolite, dawn dish soap, heck even running them through the dishwasher. No luck. The stain doesn't come out once it appears. Every couple years I try ordering a new one to see if they are using a new material but no luck, it continues to happen. Aside from this rather significant flaw the hats are great. *My original one from 2011 is a slightly different design/material and it ironically is the one that never had this problem.

Good Design, But Not Easily Adjustable

I like this hat; it’s light weight and handy that it can be folded down and put in a bag. My only issue with it is that it does not pull very tight with the binge because the fabric around the crown does not compress. If there were a gap in the back then it could be pulled tighter and stay on better in windy conditions.

Great If You Don't Mind It Being Too Small

Like another reviewer here stated, the large in gray (mineral) is a good size too small. I've owned several other SunAft hats in large and even L/M and they were all larger than the "L" gray I received. It's too small for my head.
