Not As Good As The Old Emelie Ii Style From A Year Ago

The elastic on the side of these shoes is very distracting and in my opinion takes away from the beautiful leather. I have a pair of Emelie II shoes that I purchased a year ago or two ago, and they are much for classy and stylish. They go with everything! Please go back to the old style! (where the elastic matches the leather)

Absolute Garbage

I don't have the proper words for how disappointed I am in this product. I was DEVOTED to the Emelie Chelsea boots and I was excited for the revamp since the look is excellent. The sizing and the quality, though? Absolute TRASH. I live in New York City and I wear these boots daily in the winder. The original ones have held up through thick and thin. The new ones? Awful. The heel started to wear away after less than a month of use. The insert wasn't correctly placed in either shoe and it moves to this day. The pin below the insert pushed through within a month of wear. I don't write reviews, especially negative ones, but I truly cannot believe how vastly different this product is from the boots I've LOVED.

Very Nice Boot

Great quality, love that they are waterproof. They do seem to run a bit narrow, not uncomfortably so although I've not worn them for extended periods or a lot of walking yet. They are fairly hard and stiff, so the top rubs on my ankle, but boots in general do that. I am hoping that with use they will soften a bit and I will get used to that. I do like them and am happy overall with them.

Try Ainsley Boot Instead Of Emilie

The Emelie boots just weren’t that great for me. I found the heel to be incredibly clunky and the boot runs larger. I like the look and materials, but I don’t enjoy walking in them at all. It feels jarring with each step. However, I have the Sorel Ainsley boot and love them; walked all around San Francisco in them with ease. And that’s why I purchased the Emilie boot because I thought it would be the same and I like the color options. I’m disappointed in this purchase.

Bring Back The Old Style!

I have now tried two sizes and the heel is way too wide! These boots where my tried and true, wore out a pair every season! Now I am going to have to look elsewhere, so bummed they changed the fit and sole (used to have a leather heal not plastic/rubber)

Amazing!

I wear these through snow storms, muddy hikes, or nights at a brewery. These boots hold up so well and keep your feet surprisingly warm.

Arrived Damaged And Are Uncomfortable

One of the boots was scuffed and scratched right out of the box. Some scuffing is natural for leather, but these appear damaged. I’m glad that I ordered down a size (I’m an 8 and ordered a 7.5) because they run a little big. The boots are VERY narrow and the toe box is very small, so it is almost painful to wear the boots. I expect the leather will stretch out, but I do not think they will stretch enough to be comfortable. I’m incredibly disappointed with the quality of these boots, especially after reading the reviews.

Disappointed With The Update.

I’ve worn these for a week and have a sore on the back of my left ankle. I purchased the original design and wore those religiously for 3 years until the hell deteriorated. I bought this style as a replacement. These shoes run very big. I wore an 11 in the previous design and loved them. The 11 on this new design is a full size too large. Because I’ve worn them for a few days, I cannot return them but I also cannot wear them now as the rub on the back of my ankle and has cause the skin to chaff and bleed.

Great boot! I wear a size 12, which can be difficult to find. This boot runs true to size and looks great.

Versatile Bootie

Yes!! I needed a black pair of booties I could dress up for work but were also casual enough for everyday use and these are it! I wear a 12 or 11W (thanks pregnancy) and was very concerned about these being too narrow or not being able to get my foot in. Not the case at all. These are wonderful. 10/10.

Wish They Didn't Hurt

I'd been eyeing these boots for a while - I have a similar pair but wanted ones with a slightly lower cut. I finally pulled the trigger, and on the first wear the back of my heel/Achilles heel area is KILLING me, it's rubbing so bad. I feel like I'm missing something - is the size too large, do they just need to be broken in? I bought them for an upcoming trip and really don't think I'll be able to do much walking in these. Really disappointed, since my other pair is really comfortable. Otherwise, love the color, leather quality, and overall style.
