Great Upgrade
I bought this for my son because he does cross country mountain bike racing and grew out of his junior size. He has a smith ski helmet that he loves so that is why we chose this one and he is quite happy with it.

As Expected!
The Smith Forefront 2 is as expected and reported by the reviews. Fits really well with no pinch points when cinched tight when using lights at night. Opted for a stick on mount to get helmet light closer to the front of the helmet for better balance vs the available mount (which should be included - missed opportunity Smith) which sits way back.

Saved My Noggin
I have bought 3 of these in various colors. I crashed extremely hard in the first one I bought and then replaced it with two of them in different colors. The help is comfortable and also offers a great place to put your sunglasses when not wearing them

Fits great, accurate sizing. Smith visor helpful for keeping sun out of my eyes. Great color options for the fashion focused riders out there

Awesome Color Ways
I love the new color ways. The helmet is as great as it’s always been. I own 3 Smith helmets and love them all. Comfortable, stylish, and cool.

It’s Awesome
Fits great with smith glasses (bobcat). No fogging! More cowbell, err.. characters required. Seriously it’s a great helmet and glasses system.

Super Comfortable
Fantastic ventilation and light weight. Fit and adjustability great too. And looks just plain fine. Never pinch pennies when it comes to protecting your noggin.

Lightweight Helmet
I replaced a giro helmet w this and it is definitely lighter weight and well ventilated. The only downside is the hair rippage. Luckily I have a ton of thick hair so it’s fine to lose a bit every time I ride.

Not For My Dome.
This would be a great helmet for me only if it didnt fit my head so poorly. Pressure points in the rear of the koroyd caused major headache within a very short time of wearing. TLD A3 is the absolute most comfortable helmet ive ever worn.

Safety And Comfort
I’ve been out on a few rides with this and found it to be very lightweight and comfortable. It’s easy to forget you’re wearing it at all. It adjusts very evenly around my head and doesn’t cause any pressure points, and once tightened down, really doesn’t feel like it moves around during riding. I did have the unfortunate opportunity to “test” it on one of my first rides and it protected me very well. It took some scuffs itself but overall is still in good shape and seems very durable. The visor locks into position nicely via some damped rubber notches, and the glasses storage works on my non-Smith sunglasses, so overall the features it has work well. The only 2 things I’d like to see on a Forefront 3 would be a more adjustable or generously sized ear strap mechanism - they touch the bottom of my earlobes - and an included camera and light mount system. Smith made/makes one and there’s a mounting point on the helmet for it, but it’s impossible to find and ought to be included for the price.

Best Mtb Helmet I've Ever Owned
The first time I put this helmet on I noticed just how comfortable it was. The first time I rode with the helmet I actually had multiple times during my first ride where I would start down a trail and stop because I thought I was riding without a helmet. I got so much more airflow through this helmet compared to my old helmet, combined with how comfortable and light the helmet is, that I kept think I was riding without a helmet at all. Honestly this helmet isn't cheap. But if you ride mountain bikes often (I usually ride about 3 times a week), then it is often enough to justify a more expensive helmet. You are more likely to be involved in a crash (because you ride more often) and you will probably be riding faster and hit your head harder (because you are more confident on the bike). So it makes sense to have a good helmet. If you are riding many times a week then the price amortizes quickly. So it makes it easy to justify. Also the more you ride the more you will appreciate how comfortable it is. You really will forget you are wearing it. I got this helmet as my 3rd Smith helmet. I had a terrible Spy brand ski helmet. Replaced it with Smith and realized how much it can change the sport by just having a comfortable helmet. So then I replaced my road cycling helmet with a Smith. Again, insanely comfortable. So I decided to replace my mountain bike helmet with a Smith. I think I am fully converted! Probably won't buy another brand again. Smith sells some of the most expensive helmets, but they are worth it if you're using it often. I got the Gravy color and it looks absolutely sick! The pictures don't really do it justice. The color is a dark bronze color. It pairs really nice with the visor pivot bearings which are a shiny bright bronze, and the bronze colored Smith logo. The bottom half is a Matte black. It's a really cool helmet.

Excellent Helmet
I've used this helmet on 10 rides now, perfect upgrade from an old Bell. It's comfortable and light, with plenty of ventilation. The adjustment system works well and keeps it in just the right spot. Fits very similar to my Smith ski helmet. Haven't crashed with it....yet. But, it feels sturdy and seems like the slippery MIPS system will do its job well.

Fits Great
Been mountain biking with this helmet in hot weather! Comfortable, doesn’t feel hot. I’d buy again !! I think it’s worth the cost as mountain biking is inherently dangerous

Better Than Most!
I bought this helmet a few weeks ago. The fit (large) is snug, but comfortable. I rode the same trail at the same time on several occasions to compare it to my other helmet. The SMITH helmet stayed in place better and it was cooler. Glad I upgraded.
