Very Uncomfortable
This helmet is extraordinarily uncomfortable. The straps are almost sharp, and the size adjustment system is harsh. On the plus side, it vents well and has pretty good coverage

Worth The Price!
Love the adjustable visor and the ease with which you can alter the sizing! This makes it practical to use the same helmet year-round - whether you're wearing a thick beanie in January or just a buff in July.

It Works
Cracked this helmet in a crash two days ago and here I am writing this review. The crash left me with a fractured clavicle, three broken ribs, and a puncture in my lung. Minimal concussion symptoms. I know every crash is different… as is every head. But I’m still very impressed- just wish there was a medium available to order as a replacement. Thanks for making a good helmet.

Well this never happens, I did question the email with the wrong helmet but just passed it off, then you fixed it with this one so I wanted to say that I love this helmet. Hopefully I never have to use the safety features you provide, but so far so good. Love the fit the look and the visor!

Comfortable But…
First mips helmet that I found was comfortable . After using it all summer I have found it shifts on my head. It’s always sitting slightly cock-eyed which has me concerned that it won’t protect my head in a crash if it’s tilted the wrong way. The helmet is worn snugly, cinched up so the internal cradle doesn’t move on my head. Every photo I have of me wearing this helmet demonstrates this derpy tilt.

Scuffs Easily
I like the fit and everything about the helmet, except that the exterior is incredibly fragile. I opened the box, but it down, and immediately had scratches and scuff marks on it. I have matte black, maybe other colors are better for this.

Love It
I recently bought the Smith Engage helmet, and I've got to tell you: It's awesome. Took it out on some rides out here in the Wyoming desert at upwards of 90 degrees doing some pretty good hill pulls in the sand, it didn't feel heavy or hot at all. The ventilation is excellent, and the fit is awesome. It's amazing how the sides of the helmet just clear the tops of my ears like it was built for me. Never bought a Smith helmet before, but won't buy a different brand after this one. Absolutely worth it. Good job.

Saved Me From A Hospital Trip
Took a huge slam on a jump line while wearing this helmet. My head took most of the impact when I went over my bars and although I opted for the more budget helmet it was not lacking in protection. The foam crumpled and the liner shifted to disperse the impact. I would recommend this helmet to everyone that doesn’t want to spend a fortune on protecting their dome piece, it’s a great lid.

Comfy, Makes Me Feel…safe
Had a terrible bike accident a number of years ago, cracked a helmet in two, which saved my life. Now I am careful about replacing my helmet every few years. This one is the best yet!. Fits well, nice and snug. Be safe! Buy a good helmet and wear it!

Buying Another One, After Crashing Hard
I crashed hard on a singletrack descent. It happened so fast that I couldn't even get my hands out in front of me to break the fall. I pretty sure that the helmet kept me from getting knocked unconscious and a trip to the ER. In addition to the protection, it fits me well and looks good.

Paint Chips Within 3 Months
Loved this helmet for the first couple months of mountain biking. Within 3 months, the black matte coating has completely worn off in large sections. My new helmet now looks like I’ve had it for 10 years. I will be reaching out to Smith to see if they can provide me with a new helmet or a refund.
