Comfort

Sock is exactly what I wanted in bottom heal padding without worry of sliding riding off the heal into shoe… Higher on the ankle than what I’m accustomed too so if you’re looking for something more underneath the ankle then this isn’t the best solution.

More Cushion

I know that these are ‘hiking’ socks, but I like the thicker cushioning when using them in my everyday shoes. Also, my shoe size is a 9, which is a size L sock. There’s too much extra material so I size down a buy a size M.

Wool And Comfortable!

There is a little cushion in these socks that makes them extra comfy. I wear a 12-12.5 in most shoe brands and bought these socks in size XL. The fit is great overall, maybe a tiny bit large but nothing to complain about as the XL is intended to cover a range of foot sizes. For comparison I wear an XL in Darn Tough as well and they fit fine if maybe a touch small. I would definitely buy smartwool socks again in the future. They seem like they are holding up nicely.
