Quality Socks

I've been wearing Smartwool socks for the past six years, and they have been incredible. I work in construction, so my socks get used hard every single day. I have five pairs, one for each workday, and they've been in constant rotation all this time. Only now, after six years, are they finally starting to show some wear, which is why I just bought another set of five. That's about the best compliment I can give. They're comfortable, durable, and have held up far beyond my expectations. For anyone wondering if they're worth the price, my answer is absolutely. I'd buy them again without hesitation.

Great Socks

The socks are extremely comfortable and keep your feet at a good temperature(not too hot and not too cold). They also feel like they are good quality and are very soft yet durable. I love the design as well.

Solid Pair Of Socks

I bought these just before an obstacle course race. They were comfortable and didn’t give me any blisters despite my feet being soaked. They also didn’t get stinky. No complaints.

As a long-distance backpacker, I’ve always paid attention to my socks because even the best boots can be marginalized by a mediocre or even a pretty good sock. When I discovered the Smartwool PhD socks, I stopped looking for a better sock…because there isn’t one. You can imagine my panic when Smartwool renamed the PhD line as the Performance series and I didn’t know it. Fortunately, an AT thru-hiker told me it was the same sock. I gave away my other “high-end sock” brands and stocked up on 6 pairs of the Performance socks. I’m happy again, and more importantly, my feet are, too.

Always soft, the cushion doesn’t collapse after repeated wear and washing. Smartwool is always the best!

Way Too Tight

These were way too tight. He didn’t even get to try them as far as warmth. He does not have large calves either, so anyone with muscular calves would have their circulation cut off. They were returned .
