Perfect For Ultralight Hikers First Tarp Shelter

I had done the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) a few years ago with a regular tent setup but had seen a few tarps along the way. I was curious to try it out myself and went ahead with this one for the Te Araroa (TA) New Zealand. Its a quick easy setup and very beginner friendly along with the inner bathtub liner. Would probably go with the larger size the next time around, because there definitely were a couple instances of getting some splash from rain. Overall a solid choice for a shelter and pretty hard to beat how light weight this is.

Best Tarp Ever!

We purchased the tarp for shade, and a little rain cover, so that we could remain outside the tent while it rained. Also, because it was light weight We just purchased our tarp and was able to have it tested through & through. My husband and I were on a backpacking trip, and fortunately, we had already set our tarp up as a shelter. Thinking that it would give us some shade and a little windbreak should it become windy, or even if it rained a little, we would not have to be sitting in our tent. We were in one of the worst rain, hail, and wind storms that we have ever been in, backpacking or otherwise. We were sure that our brand new tarp was going to be ripped to shreds, instead, it kept us dry and out of the elements. We feel that this tarp paid for itself the first time we set it up! Very durable and lightweight! We would highly suggest investing in one

Great Multi-use Piece Of Equipment

It has been great for daily shade and covering the bikes in time of heavy rain. Definitely a multi-use piece of equipment. I am blown away at its durability between immense stretching capability and some of the surfaces it has encountered.
