Decided to buy these as my camp shoes since they're quite easy to slip on and off. They're pretty comfortable but the balls of feet started hurting a little bit after a full day of wear. Feet will also get quite warm since they are gortex.

I bought this shoe specifically for a hiking and climbing trip in Norway and Iceland. Last minute purchase. No break in period. Right out of the box no issues. I wear inserts in all my shoes and these shoes did not need the exchange. I have walked around 50 miles in these shoes during my vacation. It was a great and one of the best key purchases I made. I wear a 10 in Brooks and ordered a 9.5 with this shoe.

I prefer a low rise hiking shoe vs. a boot. These are great - comfortable and easy to get on and off. Good for rugged terrain but stylish enough to wear daily.

Love these shoes! Have had these for many many years, they are my go to hiking shoes. Great waterproof, and super comfortable.

I cannot express the quality and durability of these trail runners. Goretex exterior with soft but substantial support for your feet . Fits well on my narrow foot with adjustable laces. Took them out for a test spin the evening they arrived and they did not disappoint. Well worth the money as I see them lasting for quite some time

Love these. On my 3rd pair now. The speed laces are a game changer. Fit well. I have a wider foot. Super comfy. I only wish they came in the same colors as the non-Gore Tex version. The non-Gore Tex versions always have better colors.

I bought these is a size 7, and they were too big. They fit my sister, and she wears a size 8, so I gave them to her. She likes them

I wore XA Comp 8, for four years in 48 states. I wanted to replacement them but they are no longer made so the XA Pro 3D v9 is suggested as the closest match in both fit and structure. The Sense Ride 5 is a bit lighter and softer, which some find more comfortable for longer walks, though it may feel less structured than the XA Comp 8. Besides the heel pull being lower and the breathability of fabric, I believe they will make it through the remaining states and last for a couple of years.

I've been buying Salomon shoes for many years, and for good reason. They are durable and comfortable, feeling lightweight. I have become a dedicated year-round wearer, trusting them through the winter months. Despite the below zero temperatures and snow, their reliable Gore tex construction keeps my feet consistently dry and warm, proving that a high-quality pair of Salomons is far more than just a seasonal sneaker— they are dependable for every day of the year.

I find the material on these shoes very hard and painful to wear.

This is my third pair of Salomon hikers and by far the very best. I have worn them walking/hiking for the last 14 days without any issues. I love these shoes!

These are pair #5 for me. I started using them for approach hikes for climbs all over the world and they hav never let me down. Comfy right out of the box, so I don't need to 'time" my purchase to get them broken in before I can wear them on a big trip. The downhill grip is easy to overlook but it's crucial--I have watched my fellow hikers slip and jerk and loose footing on things I was walking down with NO problem. And I have YET to ever have the lacing system fail. I keep a repair kit with me, but in all my pair and thousands of miles, no failures. These shoes are the reason I am such a huge Salomon fan.
