These shoes never disappoint. They have a great feel, arrive durable, and great on any trail. This is my 3rd pair of XA Pro.

Great for whether you want quick movement or those slow grueling uphill treks while packing >50 lbs. I never feel like I’m going to roll and ankle with these on due to the stability. I love the quick and easy take off/put on with the draw string. Great shoes for a great price.

These are everything I was hoping for and then some. Lighter than I imagined. Comfortable enough to make me want to wear them all day. The sole has great grip and cleans out very nicely as well. 10/10 recommend them.

I was excited to try these for a 72 hour mountain ruck, but they were more narrow than I thought they would be. I went half a size up and wide, but due to the drawstring style laces, I wasn't able to secure the shoes properly enough for the event.

I have had 7 pairs of Salomons over the last 10 plus years. We live in West Vancouver walking distance the trails of Cypress Falls Park, and Cypress mountain. And Lighthouse Park. I run, jog, hike, and bike, everyday in the trails. My preference for Salomon now reflects the terrain and the excellent grip these shoes provide. They are indestructible and clean up easily with some Dawn detergent and a gentle scrub. They are comfortable when wet. The quick lace is ideal as it allows instant adjustment as needed and means I don't have to remove my gloves on cold mountain trail days. Also, frankly they look super cool, so I also wear them to the gym, and grocery shopping. I don'd clip in when riding my Trek e-bike, so these become my go to cycling shoe. I was a rock solid Nike fan, since I was 23 before I converted to Salomon. The Salomons are more durable, look better, and suit my life style now. I put as much as 40 kilometers of week on them. I also hike the Lions, and Grouse Grind or BCMC trails weekly. That's where light weight and comfort are really appreciated.i'm retired, 69 years old. VO2 max is 45. Resting heart 50 +/-. I live for this.

Fit is excellent. Looks great. Price is reasonable.

I bought these shoes so that I could run on unremediated trails and also on roads. These are very comfortable and workable in both instances. I feel a good turnover on the road and feel secure on muddy rocky, rooty trails.

Second pair. Versatile shoe for walking, hiking etc

Before buying the XA PRO 3D, I owned a pair of SPEEDCROSS 6 and a pair of “sneakers”. The fit for both of those pairs are very similar, and I could easily lock in my heels. But the XA PRO 3D has a larger toebox which makes it feel a bit more sloppy, including in the heels. So, while I do like the style and look of the shoe, I probably won’t be buying another pair.

I have owned approx. 15 pair of Salomon hiking boots and runners. This newest model is not the same shoe as previous model. Quality has decreased including a lowering of entire upper support around the ankle as well as a missing crimp in the shoe on the two upper tabs at the back of the shoe. The result is my feet constantly feel as if they are sliding out. Added to this the toe area is too wide and results in my toes feeling like they are sliding around inside the shoe. Very disappointing

Very comfortable cushioning vented mesh top works even in San Antonio summer heat. Not exactly a rugged terrain shoe but great for paved and flat terrain. Wears out quickly ~6 months of daily use tops.

I started hiking/backpacking about 20 years ago, and tried many different brands, and they almost all gave me blisters. Then around 2015, I tried the XA pro, and I loved how light they were; roomy but comfortable for my feet (which are a little wide), but the best part was not only how stiff and sturdy the soles are, but they STAY stiff, which is great, not only for keeping traction on very rocky/uneven terrain, but also for supporting my feet over miles and miles. They're also very durable, so even after a season hiking, when the treads start to wear down, I can buy a new pair, then keep an the old pair for mountain biking shoes, or just general knockaround shoes.

I think this makes my fourth pair of this model of shoe. I’ve hiked 100s of miles in them both with a pack and without and they are comfortable and hold up well.

A good sturdy shoe that comes clean after muddy runs.
