This is great and comfy for long sessions in the gym esp when you suck and have to hang around a while trying to figure out how to get up past the crux of a 5.6 you just saw two middle schoolers warm up on.

Very fast to put on and take off, and the waist belt is quite comfortable when sitting. The leg loops are loose on me, however, which makes it uncomfortable to belay with for long periods. I would recommend measuring your thigh before choosing a size instead of just basing it on waist circumference like I did.

I have been climbing for 30 years in total and in various iterations of this harness for a long time now. It ticks all of the boxes in terms of function, fit, and durability, and especially price. One of the things that I like most about it are the gear loops. A lot of brands put their loops too low on the harness in my opinion, which causes gear to hang down around your lower leg. I prefer things to sit higher so that everything is tighter to my body when I move. The harness trad climbs and sport climbs equally well. The only downside to it is the weight being a little on the heavy side. I prefer a 32 inch waist in pants and wear a size medium in this harness, which puts me at the bottom end of the fit and allows me to cinch the waist within a cm of all the way down. This puts the gear loops more towards the front. When you look at the size range for a harness, always make sure to consider that the measurement will be smaller than your waist size because you wear it above your hips.

I work at a university gym and am constantly giving long catches to new climbers who take tons of falls. This harness is a solid gym contender with great belay comfort and has the perfect amount of storage for multiple belay devices, a PAS, and extra carabiners and slings. If you’re looking for a no frills do all harness this is it.

This harness is simple but effective. No frills, only what you need. The leg straps don't need to be tightened since all you really need to stay safe is a tight hip harness, so it makes it really comfy to put on.

used this on several climbs now and it's good to go!!! so far no problems at all and I'm a bigger climber but the stretchy leg harness helps out a lot!!

I've had a couple of Petzl SAMA harnesses that each lasted for years. The indoor/gym harness in particular stayed so fresh that people asked if it was a new harness for a couple years after purchase. But it was really the fit (with just a little padding), foolproof elastic leg loops, and bomber durability that brought me back for the 3rd time. The only real differences with the current version is that it looks better than ever. The heather gray is understated and contemporary - it'll accent your insanely bright puffer or shoes. Will definitely buy again.

I switched from the last generation Sama to this one. It is definitely more comfortable but the back gear loops seem harder to use for me. I also, liked the red color better than grey.

This harness is the connection between me and the rock. The bottom line is safety. The fixed leg loops and material of the harness are high quality, and is soft which makes shirtless outdoor climbs super comfy. I would choose this harness time after time.

I don't find it super comfortable hanging but I try not to do that too much ;p. I would prefer if the leg loops were adjustable instead of elastic but overall I am happy with its performance.

I’ve used this harness a handful of times and I am very happy with it. It’s comfortable while wearing for hours I’ve taken a few lead climbing falls in this harness and it has a soft comfortable catch. I have only used harnesses with adjustable leg loops in the past, so I was a little hesitant about the Sama. Now that I’ve worn it, I’m stoked about the purchase and the leg loops are perfect without the adjustment feature.

This is an amazing harness that’s super comfortable. I started with the black diamond momentum harness, and it was fine but sitting in it for longer periods of time got a little uncomfortable. The petzl sama is the opposite, I don’t know if it just has more cushion but it fits like a glove, and has a very nice heather grey fabric on it. It also has plenty of attachment points and you can’t beat the affordable price!

Got it for Christmas because my old one was getting too old. Very comfortable when belaying, and really nice that I don't need to tighten the leg straps.

Bought this because it was highly recommended by outdoorgearlab. Thought it was just gonna prevent me from dying. Turns out it also helps attract the ladies. My female friend would go on and have a fantasy about me because of this harness. Its super comfy and i can climb all day in this thing. Only have used it in the gym so far, but will put it to the test outdoors one day.

I bought this for my job at an adventure course and it works great. It is very light and comfortable. Much better than the cheap harnesses the company has.
