Great Design Features

I’m used to a North Face pack from 10 years ago. Heavy but rugged, bought the osprey to replace. Found osprey to be comfortable and functionally richer. Will take sometime to get used to thin waist strap but so many other positives. Found you need to pack things in the right order to make the most of pack especially when using bladder.

99% Awsome

Awsome bag - lightweight, comfortable, brilliantly spacious and flexible. Lots of really well thought out features like the pull tabs and front pocket. My only question mark is the lid. The flap over the drawcord is not in any way waterproof so feels like it needs a rain cover in wet weather (I usually use dry bags). I haven't tested it in the wet yet but it feels like it might fill up a bit.

Talon Velocity 30

Bought to replace a UD25 for Winter Spine race. So far only used on training runs but the pack seems to function well and is far more comfortable than the UD. The only drawbacks are a lack of pole storage on the shoulder or waist straps and no facility to store large items (roll mat, sleeping bag, tent, etc. ) on top of the pack. Otherwise great.

Superb Piece Of Kit

Exactly as the title says! Bought to use as a versatile walking day bag, It's actually decent enough to use for a lightly packed overnight back packing trip - (think Summer/Autumn milder temperatures, rather than full winter gear). Great storage idea and very comfy.

This Pack Is A Versatile

This pack is a versatile day pack for long range adventures. Whenever I go into the backcountry this pack is with me.

Almost Perfect

I've only had it a couple weeks, but it's seen a lot of miles in the mountains already. The amount of adjustability for the weight is amazing. I'm 6'3" and have a couple extra inches of extra room in the back panel, so good for tall folks. It's a really comfortable pack that moves exceptionally well, especially for its size. The biggest issue I have with it is that the roll top works poorly when it has less than about 25L in it. The hook for the cover tends to jostle loose and start flapping around. Not a deal breaker, but there has to be a better way to do it. The other change I would have liked is more room in the lower side pocket access ports to slip bottles in. For a 30L pack with this little structure, keeping your water on your waist instead of hanging in a bladder from the top of the pack would be a big win. It's looking a bit scuffed up already, so I'm not sure it would be my go to for climbing, but for hiking and fastpacking this one is a winner.

Great Fast Packing Bag.

I bought myself this pack after buying my daughter the woman's version for doing the Pennine way and being very impressed with it. It holds all my summer camping kit (and my winter kit for an overnight wildcamp) nicely, the pack sits well with the weight evenly distributed against my back and looks very tidy when fully packed. The rear mesh pocket is like a TARDIS and holds my waterproof jacket, over trousers, gloves, hat etc etc. . . . and a 4 pack of beers for wildcamps, it just keeps on swallowing stuff. The hip pockets are big and hold lots of snacks bars or gloves/hat etc and open/close 1 handed (as long as you remember to pinch the compression strap up) I was worried a bit by the lid design, I thought the opening would let water in, but with an osprey 35l drybag as a liner I've had no problems, though an extra waterproof flap over the opening and under the mesh pocket would be a big help. The top is quick and simple to open with this design and works well when fully, though it can be improved for when the bag isn't full as it's a bit saggy. The chest harness pockets are great and easily fit 2x 500 ml soft flasks (hard bottles dig into my chest a bit) And a phone/energy gels/snacks etc. Overall an excellent pack for long distance hikes and overnight wild camps, though with weights over 7 kg or so, it will bounce a bit if running, which most packs do with that kind of weight.

Fast And Light

I was looking for a day pack for long big mile days on the SWCP with the stow on the go option for my poles. This provides what I’m looking for although a somewhat fiddlier process than my previous packs. The pack itself is comfortable and holds all I could need plus the option to carry another's gear if necessary. Love the running vest style harness and the waist belt tightening system.

Amazing Pack

What can ai say? I've been looking for a comfortable light and waterproof bag to carry in the mountians. This is a very well thought out pack easily adjustable with plenty of handy pockets, as well as two pockets on the shoulders traps to hold your water bottles. I found these to be of awesome use and they are easy to get to and two zip pockets on the side belt which i used to store paracetamol etc. Overall a brilliant bag

A Cracking Tardis-like Rucksack!

Climbing, Via Ferrata, hiking; this pack is lightweight, carries weight close to the body, has amazing chest & waist-belt pockets and lots of useful features. My only slight niggles would be the waist pocket zippers can be hard to reach when fully open, and the top strap hook does not secure well unless the rucksack is fairly full. Very minor points that do not stop this from being my absolutely favourite rucksack.

Great Concept But Too Big!

Great concept but too big! I've always worn S/M Osprey packs in the past, so I assumed that this would fit similarly. It fits right for my height, and around the hips, but it's significantly too large across the chest, even when tightened to the max. I'm returning it and replacing it with the women's tempest in hopes that that will fit better.

I Have Only Used It

I have only used it a little, but I like it a lot. The pockets on the straps I like, I wish the bigger packs had them. Take Care

The rope loop for fixing the trekking pole broke on the first use

Almost Perfect!

Almost perfect. Pos: Finally a running vest harness system hooray, better late than never. However the same on both sides would have been great. Side pockets fantastic and huge same on the front. Hip belt pocket aswell are great. The ability to strap at the bottom of the pack gives great options. Now onto the negatives and the biggest one for me that lid is hideous and not really practical imo, it will let water in with cross wind a roll top would have been better and better still a conventional brain like other brand fast pack's which would have given a couple of extra pockets. Instead you've put this stretch lid on to house a helmet. The back plate is not comfortable for me, you can feel it dig in with 6 kilos. Could have done better, it was returned because of this. 3 stars lost for the lid, back plate and no raincover.

It's Ok

To start with didn't find it very comfortable on my back as after wearing for few hours out had back pain so didn't help me at all such a shame it's sturdy but not for me and big bag to be fair that's a plus looks like it will last years so that's a plus
