A Fishing Machine!

This kayak is by far my favorite one to use when it comes to straight up fishing. Boat control is everything and the ability to do it hands free means more casts and more fish. If trolling is something you do, this kayak has you covered. You can set a heading, set a speed, deploy your rods and your fishing. I tend to bring a lot of gear and I fish big water so for those reasons the 136 was the best choice for me. My son and I fish kayak bass tournaments and we fish on Lake Michigan trolling for salmon, I've even mounted an electric down rigger on it! This kayak preforms amazingly and it's always a "fight" over who gets to use it. Because I fish long days coupled with trolling on big water, I run an Amped Outdoors 160 lithium battery. A lot of people would be just fine with a 100ah battery. It's a large purchase I've never regretted and my son keeps asking, "when are we getting another one ? "

The Complete Package!

You can do it all from this kayak. you can set the motor to a low speed to cruise down the bank while making casts or you can stay on target effortlessly using spot-lock and work a piece of structure offshore.

My Favorite Old Town Ever

I'm mostly a vertical jigging angler. The spot lock feature of this kayak is worth its weight in gold for vertical jigging. The autopilot function is great for hands free travel, allowing me to prep on my way to my fishing spot.

Autopilot 136 (2nd Kayak)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just recently received my 2nd Autopilot 136! My first one was an Ember camo and I love that color, especially being from Florida. The second one I have is a steal camo and I feel this one gives a clean look. Now let’s talk about performance! The Autopilot 136 is an absolute beast on the water. The stability is second to none for ALL sizes. I weigh 180 lbs and a friend of mine with the same kayak weighs 280, we both stand to fish 90% of the time. Let’s talk about the spot lock capabilities. This feature makes a HUGE difference on the water and I’m glad I chose this kayak. If you’re looking into an autopilot 120 or 136 I can promise you that you’ll LOVE it!! The Ultimate Fishing Kayak

Having a spotlock enabled motor already integrated in the kayak and not having to fumble around with extra wiring and aftermarket products makes a huge difference. Also the Ember color is very visible from long distances. The kayak is very stable, relatively quiet, and just all around cool!

Four Year Review!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this kayak for 4 years and fished over 200 kayak tournaments using this rig. I have had zero issues, and always feel safe on the water knowing that she will get me back safe and sound. Handles big water great, and is a super stable fishing platform with room to spare! I stand up and fish 99% of the time. Highly recommended!

Better Than I Had Expected

My Old Town Autopilot 136 in gray Ghost Limited Edition arrived yesterday. Was wrapped nicely in heavy gauge plastic to protect it. After unwrapping and looking it over I found the Kayak to be of very thick and well-built materials. It is a heavy craft but the quality is amazing. Customer service was very easy to deal with and quite helpful getting me the answers I needed. Very spacious kayak and lots of room for everything I want to add. Cons- I wish they gave an option for aluminum rails to replace the plastic ones. Though the plastic ones are strong I just like heavy duty for fish finders etc. I also wish they would list the model number of the included trolling motor to make it easier for looking up spare or backup parts. Would I recommend this kayak to friends? without a doubt.
