I bought these MSR stakes because they are listed as being a quarter once lighter than another company's stake, so with 4 stakes that saves a full oz. It turns out that the weight of 0.74oz listed on moosejaws website is incorrect. The package the stakes came in is also incorrect which says about 0.8oz. On my scale they weigh 28g, or 0.98oz. 4 stakes reads 3.9oz. I calibrated the scale again just to be sure. This means they weigh the same as the other brand. I never would have bought these if I had known. I don't know how they get away with making these claims.

I camped on a blustery beach in Maryland with 4 inch soft sand and these worked great! Easy to stamp them in with my foot and pulled right out with my finger

The MSR Blizzard Stakes are lightweight,easy to use, easy to pack, great stakes! They fit in my Mountain Hardwear stake bag, but are a little too long for my Northface stake bag (I searched for a stake bag for them specifically without luck and wound up sewing one.) The added confidence they give inthe snow is well worth it.

I purchased these to use on the Laugavegur Trail in Iceland this summer. So far, they have worked incredibly well during my training hikes in high wind conditions and in sandy soil. Rugged and lightweight.

second set of the tent stakes, work great. I add stainless steel cable pulls to the end so removal from frozen snow is made easier.

Design is perfect for soft sand e.g. beach. You can trust these stakes to do the job. Probably the most reliable stakes to use with any non-free-standing tent.

Serious sand stakes with great holding power. Doubles as a trowel.
Remember to pack your shovel if using in sand. In high wind you will need to bury these anchored in the middle about 8-12 inches deep.

The ribs on these really stiffen them up to handle all kinds of abuse. Amazing their strength given how light they are. You must try them out!

Stakes work great. Simple, effective design. Only wish they came in 6 or 8 packs because the 4 doesn't account for the rainfly if you're using a double walled tent. Still well worth buying two packs if you're going camping in the snow and have a double walled tent.

I love these stakes. They're light and strong and easy to use. Also, makes a good cat hole digger. Highly recommended. Can't go wrong with MSR.

Bought a lot of gear before the big trip....and added these tent stakes as an afterthought. Turns out we'd have been without shelter w/o them. Ended up setting up camp in sand every night and would not have been able to get the Black Diamond MegaLight up w/o them. Great stakes. Relatively small and light .... considering that they do a great job even in dry, loose sand.
