Not long enough to fully set up tent. I have to use a rock or piece of wood to get the top of the tent high enough to get the fabric taught.

I have a few of these in different lengths. They are always with me overlanding (aka car camping) since they work for a multitude of different applications and tasks. With a group I setup a very large silnylon tarp for a communal / cooking space and these give extra height and shape where needed. On solo camps I use the same tarp but as a vestibule on my tipi and these again help to create a nice sheltered entryway to my tent. They're also very well made with excellent construction which is important. They have a handsome finish and can handle the elements thrown at them. I am likely going to acquire one or two more since I keep finding myself looking for another tree or two to tie off or having to stake down diagonally when I'd prefer the height these afford. The shorter one, I think it's 5' length, extends surprisingly far for how nimble it is and small that it can pack down, but the next size up, I think it's 8' length, comes in quite handy it just is a notable size-up even when broken down for storage. Can't go wrong with these poles.

Sturdy aluminum polls with an adjustable top section to accommodate different heights. I use these polls for my RV awning where they add a lot of stability to the leading edge of the awning. These polls will last forever.

I have a Hubba Hubba tent (which i absolutely LOVE) but to my surprise, the elastics in the poles have lost all of their elasticity and make it real hard to set up my tent - how can I replace the poles? thank you

The shock cord in my 2.4 meter MSR adjustable pole wore out and broke, not a surprise. I bought the replacement cord but cannot figure out how to replace the broken one. Your video shows how to replace the cord in a tent pole but does not apply at all with this pole. The cord seems to be attached to the inside of 2 sections of the pole by a small metal disc to which the cord is tied. The disc fell out when I tried to grab the broken cord. How do I secure the replacement cord to the inside of the two pole sections?

I have a Mutha Hubba NX 3 since few years. Use it few times in for hiking the first year and it was really great. I did not have to use it for two years but when I used it this weekend, the elastic pole was broken and I had to cut it to be able to assemble the tent... It is a bid disapointment.

I love the hubba hubba design and ease of setup but the poles have really worn down over the years with very little use, despite being stored well. I would love support with replacing them because it’s not straightforward from your website. It’s a shame I’ll have to dish out more cash for replacements as I feel it’s truly a quality issue

I’m not a happy camper. One of Elixir poles broke from bending. It wasn’t the cord; it was the aluminum. Not a good thing.

I Bought the Mutha Hubba tent a few years back. I loved it on the first through hikes I did with it (easy to build, great fabric, light, spacious). Everything I was looking for. Unfortunately after a couple of years, the elastic thread holding the poles together and supporting the build lost all its elasticity, becoming much longer. It makes it impossible to fit the poles together so to build the tent and make sure it holds properly (no way I sleep in it in windy conditions). It is a shame since I took good care of it (the rest is intact and I haven't lost any piece). I'm based in France and there is no SAV, nor clear possibility to buy spare parts. I find it crazy that I cannot just replace the thread or even the structure easily since it is a small part of the whole. This product is too costly not to offer proper/equal support & parts to all customers.

It is great! Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks

Hi, I was just browsing the tent pole reviews and I saw one from Matt saying that his Hubba Hubba tent pole had snapped in high winds in Utah and he had not had any response from MSR when he tried to get help. Exactly the same has happened to me, my daughter was on the tour du Mont Blanc last week when two poles snapped, I emailed MSR asking if there was anywhere in Chamonix vicinity where she could get help/a replacement. I haven’t received any response. I too am resorting to this method of contact. She managed to cobble a repair with tape ans string, but some advice would have been nice! We still need a replacement we live in the UK, we need the tent for a Norway trip in 2 weeks, what can we do?
