Bought these as lounge and active pants because I don't love super tapered joggers from other outdoor/active wear brands. These are by far my favorite pant in this category. The straight leg, knee gusset, and stretchy waist band are perfect. I sized up to a large due to thicker legs, but the regular length still fit as a 5'8" male.

I wear these pants for climbing in the gym. They have surpassed my expectations. Especially in the durability category. These pants are stretchy, durable, and offer just the right features that make a pair of pants useful in the gym. I highly recommend them!

Bought a pair for a big trip and they have become my go to pants! Excellent for travel!

I love these pants so much I’m that I own 4 pairs. Only thing I wish was that the lengthen was slightly shorter. 32 for regular fit is slightly too long. Other wise than that they are awesome. I think these are the only pants I wear. There is a nice amount of stretch and it drys super fast.

I bought these pants and was quite happy with them at first. A little snug in a bottom and crotch, but overall a decent lightweight pair of pants for when the days start a little cooler. I am giving them a low rating because the fourth time I washed/dried them the elastic drawstring was destroyed which means I can’t secure them properly for my active needs. I have contacted the warranty department to see what kind of repair is feasible as I have owned these pants for about 6-7 months and only worn them about 10 times. These were my only pair of pull-on pants, and I think in the future I will just stick to “standard” pants for my lifestyle as I know a nylon belt is less likely to fail on me. For the record I have 3-4 other pairs of Mountain Hardware pants that I am very happy with.

I bought a 2nd pair of these pants I like them so much. Very comfortable casual (or business casual) pants, they look way sharper than they appear in the product images. Love them, highly recommend!

One of the most comfortable pants I have seen in this category and I have seen a lot! Great material but need more pockets. A coin pocket for airpods and a side (knife) pocket for cell phone would make these the pants to replace all pants!

Have 2 pairs and love them !!! Great for hiking and around the house as well Classy enough to even wear out on the town. Seem very well made !!! No zipper though. Have to figure out that one on your own.

I bought size small and usually wear a 30x30 pant size. The waist fit well but the length is made for someone who would fit better in 30x32 or even longer. The articulated knee falls below my knee making them actually grab on to the knee worse then if there was no articulation in the fabric.

As a climber, I need my pants to stretch, not bunch up under a harness and be comfortable. The Basin Pull-On Pants tick all those boxes. I love not having to try and fit a belt on with my harness, I love the weight, stretchiness, and durability of the pants, and I love that I can wear these around my house as glorified sweat pants. These pants are almost perfect. My only critique of these wonderous pantaloons is that they don't have a zipper. If I'm going to be wearing a pair of pants under a harness all day, as I often do, then I want an easier way to "relieve myself" than awkwardly wiggling my waistband from under my harness. I know this is a little picky, but I still love these pants and still give them 5 stars. Also, I'm 5'9" 165lbs. and the Mediums fit great.

I'm a indoor climbing coach and instructor and an avid outdoor climber as well in the New England area when im climbing outside I need my pants to leave me with the ability to move and those pants knock that out of the park. These pants are fantastic. They are extremely durable and resilient against rocks and dust. On top of that the DWR finish the does an awesome job of being water resistant on rainy days and very flexible on normal dry crag days. The security pocket is a fantastic addition to all the features that the pants have to offer because when you need to take your ID with you on climbs ypu know it will be safely zipped away and not as easy to lose in the end. These pants can handle any scenario for any type of person. Great addition to my climbing gear!

I am a rock climbing guide who guides across Colorado and Utah and its important for me to have gear that works well, is durable and looks professional. These pants are great! The sizing, though was tough. I've previously owned the MHW Cedarberg Pull On Pant in a Large. Those pants I could barely pull over my butt. They fit the waist already but had very little stretch to pull on. This time around, I got an XL in the Basin Pull On and they are a bit too big. They don't fall off but without the drawstring tied they are quite loose. I have a 35" waist and a 33" inseam. I wonder how a Large would fit... I enjoy this pants for climbing in as they provide a ton of movement. They fit nicely under the harness with the elastic waistband but the drawstring is a bit annoying with a harness. I am typically not a fan of "drop in" pockets because larger/heavier things tend to "drop out" but there is a zippered rear pocket which provides security for not loosing things. The straight leg design is great for movement and makes these comfy but they are tad bit too wide for my liking. Anyone who is looking for a comfortable climbing pant would be happy with these but they have less utility in the multipitch world due to the lack of thigh pockets.

I work as a climbing guide on the Front Range of Colorado, and I use my gear in all four seasons - sometimes in one day. These pants are tremendously comfortable, breathable, and light. I really liked wearing these over shorts in the climbing gym to warm up and on cooler mornings when I needed a little extra warmth. I really did not like these pants for any climbing that involved a harness. The tie closure and lack of thigh pockets make roped climbing somewhat difficult. I don't consider this a huge downside because of the versatility in other areas! I think these pants are perfect for bouldering and layering in cooler environments. I bought a medium and they fit perfectly.

I am a search and rescue volunteer and climbing wall instructor who spends my time in Arizona and Washington state. Working in a wide range of environmental conditions requires that my gear does the same. I ordered the large Basin pull on pants, using Mountain Hardware’s sizing guide, and I found them to fit true to size. I have thoroughly enjoyed using the Basin Pull-On Pant while climbing and hiking in the sun and the rain. The DWR finish repels water and worked well during light rain while climbing. I also found the fabric to be surprisingly rugged while remaining breathable. My favorite feature is the rear zip pocket. I never want to risk losing my phone while climbing and the zip pocket always keeps my phone secure when I am moving on the rock. While the elastic waist with the adjustable internal draw cord took some getting used to, I have found it to be comfortable while having great range of motion and mobility. The Basin Pull-On Pants are a great all-around pant for climbing, backpacking, or spending time outdoors in a variety of conditions.
