Wide Width Perfect For My Needs. Great Hiking Shoe

I've had several Merrell shoes and like them, but sometimes a fit a bit tight. I'm an active senior so ordered the wide width and glad I did. These hiking shoes fit and feel great. The Vibram soles provide great grip and the gore-tex does it job keeping feet dry in damp conditions.

Gore-tex Waterproofing Doesn't Last

I have owned several pairs of these shoes. They are very comfortable but their consistent flaw is that the Gore-Tex waterproofing last for only about a month of regular use. I have found that the basic waterproofing in the Moab 3 Waterproof shoes lasts a little longer (although still not very long).

The goto shoe for walking, light hiking, shopping and just going about the day. Comfortable right out of the box, excellent fit for my wide feet. Neither my feet nor my legs are tired at the end of a long day even with over 10,00 steps on the tracker. Frequently switching shoes keeps these from taking a "set" and wearing out quicker. Nowhere, I bought two pairs on line and have not worn them yet. This is about the tenth time I have been asked to fill out this survey since this last purchase. I bought two pairs for myself and two pairs for my wife. Why not employ some AI and stop sending me the same email over and over again. I have bought Merrell many times in the past and will buy again in the future, I like them, I always buy the Gore-Tex waterproof ones and buy pairs in advance of needing them when they are on sale. My wife buys more for fashion and I purchase what she likes the look of when they are on sale. I am type 2 diabetic and have been for 30 years, I wear them with Darn Tough Marino wool blend hiking socks and walk a minimum of three and half miles a day rain or shine; so far zero sign of any neuropathy or other foot problems, I am now 70 years old.
