This is a great jacket for a good price, I did full-day trek last month during while was raining and it worked great.

Great jacket. Just what I needed for rainy day. Stashes easily in my backpack. I even use it when i am riding my motorcycle and it begins to rain. Excellent jacket, light weight, easy to carry and does a great job keeping you dry.

Great for down pours keeps you dry! Can’t go wrong.

This is exactly the jacket I needed: a waterproof shell that has good thickness to it. I'm a 5'11" woman and the men's jacket fits my frame perfectly! I have broader shoulders than an average woman and find that, as a result, arm length, in regular women's sizes, suffers. Nicely made, quality material. I use this when I'm riding in the rain, which is about 9 months out of the year! Feels like it'll last a long time, which I really appreciate.
This thing is so waterproof I coukd scuba dive in it
Good Jacket for a good price. Bought it for the waterproof layer and breathable fabric. Plan to test it out before our Alaska cruise. Pockets should be lower than chest high. Fabric is a little crunchy feeling, but that's OK if it's completely waterproof.

My Minimalist Pro Jacket was christened on a trip to the Canadian Rockies/British Columbia and it did not disappoint. Knowing the late September weather would be all over the place, I used this jacket over a vest some days and over a fleece jacket on colder days…and by itself when I could. The waterproof and windproof properties kept me perfectly dry and warm with layering. The hood system was great too and kept the winds and rain out nicely. Combine all that with the light weight, this is my new go to travel jacket.

Great jacket for whatever mountain weather is thrown at you. Just finish multi-day White Mountain backpacking trip with rain, drizzle and sub-freezing windchills - couldn't ask for a better rain jacket to cover all these changes in weather

A perfect, simple rain jacket. Gore-Tex is the best

I have only had the chance to use the jacket in light rain but kept me dry

I wanted to love this jacket. I love the technical features, the colors, the zipper locations, the cut, etc. However the key component to a "pro" series jacket is being absolutely bomber waterproof. I am an outdoor professional who spends long durations of time outside; staying dry in less than optimal weather is critical. Out of the box, this jacket significantly underperformed. The jacket has little to no beading and actually absorbs the water in the outer fabric. The goretex membrane does OK, but even after an hour, my layers inside are quite damp. If I were out for a few days without reprieve, I would be in trouble if I took this jacket. Trying to fix this solution rather than get a new jacket, I re-applied a water proof coating (nikwax) following all product instructions. Still, no improvements. Either I received a defunct jacket or this jacket is NOT worth the cost.

I am replacing a ten-year old Marmot rain jacket. Very similar to the Minimalist but I do not recall the name. I have yet to wear this new jacket so I cannot comment on its waterproofing or breathing characteristics. I can say it feels stiffer and is ‘noisier’ than my previous jacket so I am a little disappointed at that. One selling feature of this jacket is that I will sometimes use it as a wading jacket. The fact that the pockets are up higher is a benefit rather than a liability.

Jacket fits me well (I'm 5'10", 210lbs, and I like my jackets loose fitting). Kept me dry during the last 2 downpours.

Great goretex jacket , well made . i also have 2 Minimalist jackets that i prefer over the pro fore one reason only .The 2 side pockets are placed so high that they really should be referred to as chest pockets .On the basic Minimalist , the pockets are placed lower where they should be and thus is more comfortable when hands are put into the pockets . Also on the Pro , the pockets are not large enough in the opening .
