Klymaloft Sleeping Pad

I'm going camping at the end of this month at Shenandoah national park and it's going to be hot outside and I used my portable pump to inflate the sleeping pad and man it feels like I'm sleeping on a mattress just like a normal bed. This sleeping pad is definitely good for new beginners who are just starting their camping journey but I don't see why a expert wouldn't buy this either.

One Of The Comfiest Sleeping Pads Out There

I've had the opportunity to try several different sleeping pads on campouts over the last several years and the Klymaloft XL is by far one of the best I have ever used. The wide size and full length offer a great amoung of space that make its hard to roll off in the middle of the night and the thickness provides plenty of cusion to ensure you'll never touch the ground below you and can even support the weight of a second person :) The thin layer of foam and soft material is a nice touch of added comfort that you rarely find w/most other pads. The air valve is great and easy to inflate especially with a portable electric pump and features a nice pressure release to customize the feel. To deflate you need to flip the air valve which is easy enough... however prefer the 2 port system like on BA bags. Would also like to see a pump sac to be included as an additional feature, but its not a deal breaker. The cover is really cool/innovate and it cinches everything down nice once you roll it up. It packs down small enough considering its overall size and it can definitly be used on backpacking trips, however here is where the extra comfort trades off with additional weight. Don't get me wrong... its still packable enough that it can be taken on backpacking trips, but just know that you'll have to find weight savings in other parts of your packing list. Overall, still super happy with this sleeping pad and will definitly be the pad in which I will measure all others.
