Stiff At First, But It Changed

Hello, I’ve read a lot of opinions about these shoes, especially the negative ones. I own the Circadia Low, which I mainly wear in the city and for everyday use. They are great for all regular surfaces. Although they aren’t particularly fashionable, they are perfect for my feet. When winter came, I was bothered by the draft on my ankles in the low shoes. So, I decided to buy the Keen Circadia Mid, mainly for comfort in the city during the colder months. When I took them out of the box, they were quite stiff, and after my first walk, they were uncomfortable around my ankles. Now I realize this was due to how they were stored in the box. I placed a jar inside them overnight and tied the laces. The next day, I was able to put them on comfortably and walk without any issues. I should also mention that I wore one pair of thin socks and on top of that, woolen socks for hiking boots. The socks make a big difference. The shoes are of good quality and will please anyone looking for shoes with plenty of room for toes.

Out Of The Box Comfort,

Out of the box comfort, it is a real thing. I’m still undecided about Big Foot but being able to walk the woods longer comfortably who knows?

What Changed?

These boots were stiffer than any other keens I've ever had. They're still stiff after a backpacking trip but that's not the biggest problem. The insoles are terrible. No arch support and oddly concave. I got huge blisters. I've had keens for over 10 years and they've been great! Something has changed. I'm ordering different insoles hoping that will save them. I might need to switch brands which makes me really sad.

Received incentive

Circadia Boots

They're still pretty stiff so getting them on & off is still difficult. But I can get my thick socks in them without causing my toes to go numb, making them warmer. Love that they're really waterproof!

Can’t Even Get Foot Into The Boot

The tongue of the boot is showed completely shut which leaves such a small opening for your foot. I can’t even get my foot all the way into the boot. I do have a high instep, but I don’t know how anyone would be able to get their foot into this boot. So disappointed and obviously will be returning them.

Dicks, Shame On You.

Not only did they come covered in dog hair, but they were also sent stained. You would think at this price they would give you new shoes. And on top of that there are hidden fees on top of the price you paid for. I found a lil gem added on my credit card statement. They called it a upcharge for taxes. I call it dishonesty. I will NEVER buy with them online again. The shoes themselves are nice, but not the appropriate fit for my feet. The 9.5 to small on the length and the 10 to wide at the heel. The quality and value I rated on the shoes I tried on at the store, not the ones I received.

The Only Walking Shoe I Like

Keens are the only shoe I have found that I walk in and don't bother my feet. A few years back I bought a Voyageur Mid Boot and loved them so thought I would try these. Haven't worn yet, but excited to try them.

Not A Good Design Change

I’ve worn a pair of women’s Targhee waterproof, insulated boots for five years, but apparently Keen no longer makes them for women, so I tried these Circadias. It’s well-made, but the tongue design is far too narrow and I found it nearly impossible to squeeze into these boots. I’m very disappointed that Keen has messed with a perfect design. I’ll have to try another brand.

Great, Great Boot - Size Up One Full Size

I love these boots!!! I wear size 8 in Keen, size 7 in most other brands. After reading the reviews I ordered size 7. They fit perfectly! Very warm and comfortable. I've used them to walk the neighborhood and in the woods. My favorite boots ever!

Circadia Women's Waterproof Boot

Solid, waterproof. They run about a size large. Watch out - the lace of one boot catches on the hook of the other boot and can sent you on your face. Tie the bow off to the side to avoid that. KEEN - You need to resolve this dangerous issue.

Excellent

Perfect for this freezing snowy weather. Bought 1/2 a size bigger than usual to accommodate extra thick socks.

Comfort Of Targhee, But Not The Width

After pregnancy, my feet grew, so I had to go up to a 12. The Targhees don't go up to twelve, so I tried these, but they are not as wide. Guess I'm going to try the men's Targees. These come in wide, but not in 12s.

Comfortable, Sturdy, But Run A Big From Prior

Bought For my own Christmas gift... I do tons of single track hiking and snowshoe in park city area. need something that is sturdy, warm, and durable.

Rubs At The Ankle And Lace Hooks Are A Serious Hazard

First, maybe it's just the way my legs are built but unless I'm wearing the very thickest socks I own, these rub my lower leg raw in minutes just above my ankle, where the boot top is. The fabric there is really abrasive. I tried tightening them to the point that my feet hurt, which didn't help. It's very hard to find socks with an incredibly thick leg and no padding on the foot, but that's what these need. To ease this, I tried just not lacing the top loops, and like another reviewer here, the laces caught on the speed hook at the top of the other boot, and actually caused me to fall on my face in a parking lot. I must walk with my feet close together? Is that very unusual? I feel like this should never happen. Will keep trying to see if they break in now that I know not to ever leave the top hooks unlaced and to always tuck the laces into the boot, but this review stands because another person might have broken an arm or knocked out some teeth and I don't want to see that happen.

Great Boot!

The first day I wore these boots for 9 hours and they were so comfortable. They are sturdy and high quality. I am glad to have them for hiking as well as the snow.
