Perfect For Camping!!

I bought this when camping on a lake and it was amazing. I used it in combination with the Steripen Classic 3 UV Water Purifier and it gave me peace of mind as well as delicious tasting water! I didn't taste any sediment or weird flavors at all, and I didn't even use the carbon filter. Also very light to carry around! Highly recommend!!

Wow This Might Be The Answer

I’ve taken this bottle just about everywhere. It is simple and easy to use. Compared to other water filter products that were more of a pouch style this is still lightweight but much more durable and not prone to the same pinhole punctures. The flow rate is pretty quick too. I used this on hikes, bike rides, and in my day-day where water quality was questionable. A filter product is essential for me as someone who spends a lot of time in the backcountry as a guide and adventurer and this will definitely be my go-to this year. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a simple filtration solution whether traveling or in the backcountry. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. This bottle is amazing! I used this bottle on a road trip and never had to worry about contaminants in my water. The system is extremely easy to use and very easy to setup. The instructions are very clear on how to set the system up. The instructions manual is very detailed about the care of the system as well as cleaning. The system is pretty durable, and I really like how flexible it is. It can basically fit anywhere. I thought the flow rate was particularly good considering how beefy the filtration system is. I did not feel like I had to work hard to get a sip of water like you do with some systems. This system is also so easy to clean and like I mentioned previously, the instructions are very detailed on how to go about the cleaning process. Katadyn Group gave me this free product to try.

The Newest Addition To My Outdoor Adventures.

I am a long time user of the BeFree filter and have dozens of backpacking trips with it. I use mine with the BeFree 3 liter bag. I was excited to have the opportunity to try out my beloved filter in a new bottle set up. BeFree did send me this bottle filter to review for free but the opinions are my own and not influenced by its freeness. Out of the box, I felt the instantly familiarity and confidence in the filter due to my past experiences. The filter element looks the same, it’s just now part of the bottle lid with a flip top cap. The cap and the flip top felt robust and not flimsy or cheap. The bottle part has a good amount of rigidity but has plenty of flex to squeeze it without being a workout. Sturdy but flexible at the same time. It has a small Carbon cylinder that you can add to the lid just under the opening to help with taste in the water. It does slow down the flow noticeably but it was still very acceptable flow. The bottle could not be easier to use. Just fill it up, screw on the lid and drink. Filtering out bacteria, microplastics and other contaminants in the water. I would recommend this to be used in any application where you can get water from sources as you go through the day. I used it for biking and it fit into a frame mounted water bottle holder. I used it during kayaking and strapped it to the deck of the kayak. I will mostly use it for hiking and backpacking as any easy and quick way to get my water. Well done BeFree. Thank you for the filter. See you on outside. Happy Trails.

Great Bottle

I think it is great. the only thing I was left wishing for was that the filter was able to fit on different sports bottles and the air release has a little bit of a noise it makes. It tends to squeak a lot!

Great Product

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. At first I was a little skeptical of the product. I’ve used the befree filter and bag for so long. But honestly this has been a great new addition to my hiking gear! Recently i’ve switched over to just using a water bottle for hiking instead of a bladder, and this fits that need. Instead of needing to carry two separate containers, i can just use this. The bottle is perfect too because if i do need to filter water into another container, i can! The flow rate and cleaning were super easy, just like with all the other befree products. I’m also super excited to use this while traveling in countries where the water is not safe to drink. This product will be perfect to provide some peace of mind. Definitely recommend!!

This system is super easy to use. The directions are clear and concise. The system was super durable. I have had no problems. I used it three times all in very cold temperatures, but the flow was still incredible. The system is very easy to clean, which makes it perfect for travel on backpacking. Katadyn Befree Ac 0.7l Filter Bottle

I recently took the Katadyn BeFree AC 0.7L filter bottle on a 2 day backpacking trip, and it worked like a charm. The stream water tasted great and I had no stomach issues. I enjoy the translucent dark color of the bottle. The plastic is thin but feels sturdy enough to take a decent tumble. No more punctures! It flows faster than my old sawyer filter too! This filter is light weight and the perfect size for backpacking. I recommend this filter to anyone who prefers the 2 in 1 design vs gravity/pump filters. Great Bottle

I’ve used the 0.7L Katadyn BeFree, and it’s honestly one of the easiest water filters out there. It’s super lightweight, fits in a running vest or backpack pocket, and you can drink straight from it like a normal bottle. First of all, I want to thank Katadyn Group for giving me this product to try for free in exchange for my honest review. I have to say that after using this on several day hikes, this product is, quite frankly, a game changer. I love the ease and convenience of filtering water quickly and reliably while out on the trail. A little about me: I've been hiking and backpacking for 30+ years and have used all sorts of water filtration systems ~ water pumps, purification drops, iodine, squeezes...and all of them have had their advantages and disadvantages. But this new BeFree? I love it! What I love: It's very lightweight. It's easy to clean. It's easy to use. The water tasted good. The flow rate is great! I've used many bottles with similar tops when I ride my bike and always frustrated by how slowly the water came out. Not so with this bottle. What I think could improve: Not much! It did make a weird sound when we drank from it the first few times but with the right angle and squeeze it went away. I also suggest following the instructions and wipe the bottle before you put the lid/filter on. You are submerging the bottle in the water source and you want to make sure you're not accidentally consuming untreated water. I stuck the lid/filter in my backpack or jacket pocket while I was filling my bottle so I didn't get untreated water on it. Overall I'm really happy with it and plan to make it a regular part of my gear, whether I'm on a day hike or overnight trip. I work in the camping department of a store and am always making recommendations to customers. I'm glad I can give an honest firsthand recommendation of this product!

Crystal Clear Water That Tastes Incredible

The Katadyn Be Free AC Bottle is quite simply wonderful. Its convenience is unmatched due to the ability to scoop up water from stagnant and moving water sources, the durability, and how lightweight it is. Small enough to fit in your pack, as well as in your packs bottle holder, yet big enough to hold enough water to keep you hydrated for miles. The flow rate was perfect for me. Not too fast nor too slow. Cleaning is incredibly simple thanks to the design of the bottle. Overall the Be Free AC Bottle is a beginner friendly water filter as well as the perfect piece of gear for experienced backpackers who want a more traditional style water bottle filter that can take some hits on the trail. My Go To Filter

The BeFree bottle is a fantastic trail ready filter bottle setup. Prior to trying this bottle I have used (and been a big fan of) the BeFree collapsible bottle and this non collapsible version is a great addition to the lineup. The flow rate on the BeFree filter is incredible. It’s simple, easy to use, and easy to clean (at home or in the field). I was curious how the bottle would bounce back after being squeezed and the one-way air vent functions well, hasn’t leaked, and helps tue bottle perform flawlessly. A Great Firm Bottle Squeeze Filter!

As an avid hiker and backpacker, water filters are one of the most important things you can bring. I’ve used a few, some more difficult to use than others. I found that the BeFree AC 0.7 Bottle was incredibly easy to setup in use. To the point that I actually didn’t prep or unbox it until I got out of my truck and ready to hike. I found it durable enough. The lid did unscrew when putting it in my backpack a couple times, but other than that, it was perfectly usable. The flow rate was usable with the carbon filter, but I found it much better without, and I could stand the taste just fine. I did not need to clean the filter, but it did not clog easily. I made sure to shake it around a few times when drinking from sediment-filled water. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone tired of squeeze bags and wants something more far reusable than a Smartwater bottle. The easy setup and use is a huge bonus, and the form factor is convenient compared to other options on the market. Probably great for traveling, too, with the carbon filter.
