Efficient With Windshield

I have had this Stash since march 2021 and used it on several hikes during these 8 months. Before I took it out I compared it with several other stoves that I have. I found that the Stash was the lightest option for my 10 day trip when I added a clip-on windshield. With a 5 gram LPG consumption per boil it was superior to my other stoves.

Light As A Feather, But Loses Some Features.

I bought the Stash last week and took it camping for the first time this weekend. This thing is extremely light, the burner stack is solid, doesn't feel flimsy at all. Burned consistently even with Nebraska's constant winds. It did everything is said it would, but with the reduced weight comes reduced features. I normally use a Jetboil MicroMo for my one person cook system. I almost exclusively use these for dehydrated food and coffee/tee. The missing koozie with attached handle required me to wait until my coffee was warmish to drink from the Stash, and of course it cooled faster than the MicroMo. The missing push starter is a bit of an inconvenience. The French press kit for the MicroMo is also nice rather than cowboy coffee. Basically, I think to use the Stash as I normally would, I would need to bring a seperate coffee cup and probably a pour over filter, which ruins the weight savings. In summary - it does everything it is said to do. If you want boiling water only, this is your best choice. If you want to expand even a bit outside that, you should go for another JetBoil stove. For all the ounce counters, beware that you will probably add weight with lighter and any basic gadgets for good coffee.

Super Bummed Although It Is Very Light

I have so many jetboils, I have one for everyone in the family, and I have been trying to UL my backpacking system and bought this right away. I just tested it before taking it out and realized the weight saving is a tradeoff for no piezo ignition and the height of the set up is completely impractical and I don't trust it to go into the mountains. At the house, 6100' elevation with moderate wind it was an absolute mess. No way is this thing going to stand up at high altitude in the Tetons and Winds. Being used to Jet boil quality I was pretty bummed, it hasn't even been out BC.
