I have never taken the tags off a $200+ clothing item faster. This is the fleece I have been searching for, I couldn't have dreamed it to be more perfect, great job halfdays üëè I am a neutral girl and my wallet is actually happy there are not more neutrals to choose from (hint hint plz drop black as a seasonal color) but I snatched up an XS Chai as soon as it came in stock and I'm in love. I saw another review not liking the back pocket but I think it's so cute and totally accessible if you have flexible shoulders. I'm about 5ft 9in, 120lbs, and the XS is cozy, fits under my XS packable puffer like a dream, no shoulder constricting (I am small chested 32-34 B). My tiniest complaint is that if it's zipped all the way up it's a little high on my neck and if I'm sitting hits my chin, but I just unzip half an inch or so and it's fine. Overall this fleece has become my bff in a very short time and I can't wait for all the fall adventures in it. I'd rather spend $200 on a fleece that makes you look fab and doesn't pill than $80 on something that won't last or make me feel as good in it. Just buy it already, you won't regret it.
Color dull
Wanted to write a second updated review! Color review: I've had issues with color accuracy due to the use of filters so I wanted to add an updated review to help others. I originally got it in the disco but the disco was underwhelming for someone who is a winter color season (someone who looks good in cool toned more saturated colors ) I think the disco is slightly (a smidge) brighter in person but is relatively accurate. In pictures it looks darker than the Nellie puffer in disco but I found that to be the opposite. The Nellie puffer in disco is more muted. Disco would be a stunning color for those are fall under the summer color season! I traded it in for navy which is gorgeous with my coloring. It's the perfect shade of navy for me as it's dark but saturated. The most color accurate are as alpine green and navy which look pretty identical to their photos. Colors with some minor differences are as follows. Alpenglow is more fuschia and more cool toned than warm toned. Fern is slightly brighter in person and still cool toned. Item review: This is one of my favorite halfdays items. Pretty much all of items are favorite items. I have hEDS and hand mobility/disability and this item so amazing. Here's why. I used to religiously wear Patagonia re tool fleeces as my go to cold weather item but my hyper mobility and hand issues quickly made that an issue as it's snug fit made it impossible to tug over my head without stretching my joints past the normal range and hurting my hands. Those fleeces also sensory wise were too constricting as I also have sensory sensitivities due to neurodivergence. This fleece though?? Because it has that perfect halfdays oversized fit, these easily slips on and off with a small tug. I don't feel constricted and the fleece is so soft and cozy. I just feel safe wearing it, hence why I decided to invest in buying multiple! The zipper helpers glide up and down so easily and you don't need that much grip strength. I have to wear MCP splints to support my lack of thumb strength and even when I'm not wearing these, the zippers are still easy to use which is uncommon for me. This fleece is also pretty lightweight. I am not allowed to carry heavy things on me (hEDS issue), so this is great to shove in my Osprey Tempest 20 when not in use. This perfectly fits under the Nellie puffer as it was designed to do if you get them in the same size. I get the puffer in a size small and the pieper in a size small. Halfdays excels at details that really make them stand out from other outdoor brands. Perfectly matched colored liners, zippers, and zipper helpers is an amazing aesthetic touch. They excel at making amazing products that also accommodate people like me with neurodivergence and disability Much love to halfdays and their company ü§ó
This was the only item from halfdays I bought that fits true to size. If you want it to fit like the model, where it's a little bit baggy, but still flattering I suggest sticking with your normal size. I wasn't sure if this fleece was worth it due to the high price but when I got it, the quality was so great, the color was beautiful and it was so warm and soft. Halfdays needs to do unfiltered photos for each of its items because sometimes the color is not accurate. However, the fern color is pretty accurate but I am unsure about the others. I suggest looking through their Instagram for unfiltered photos or in the tag section to see what it actually looks like in person.
Such a cute and comfy fleece! The granita color is my favorite! I knocked it down one star for the absurd price and the weird pocket on the back - so awkward to use. But I really like this fleece. I am 5'7.5, 140 pounds and I got a medium b/c small is sold out. It's on the bigger side - but still totally fine, cute and comfy. Small would fit me too. I like the crop look - it's flattering.
