This is a great camp or all-around utility pocket knife. The main reason I purchased this was for its slightly longer length while still fitting comfortably into my pocket for portability / concealment. There is a nice amount of cutting surface to the blade and the tanto-style shape makes it great for slicing/piercing into whatever you may have - whether around the shop/home or on the trail. The blade length and shape on this makes it very useful for opening boxes, packages, or slightly more robust work such as cutting cordage or ripping into feed bags or whatever you might throw at a pocket knife. While no machete or even "camp/survival knife", it is a bit larger and more durable than some of the cheaper, budget-friendly 3" or so pocket knives (of which there are thousands of brands/models and suppliers). Pros: Good size - especially for those with slightly larger hands. Blade is very sharp out of the box and can be easily polished or honed to a razor sharpness. Durable blade, relatively low cost. Snaps / flips open easily with one hand and locks into place with a reliable and simple liner lock. The pocket clip can be attached a couple of different ways or removed entirely, if desired. Probably tough to beat for under $30 if you're looking for a quality knife that can still take a little bit of wear and tear. Cons: Grip feels a bit cheap/slick. Blade does not have a lock when it is closed, so could potentially open accidentally.

I bought this knife off a suggestion from a friend. Glad I did. I like the low profile it has on my pocket but super sharp and easy to get to.

Nicely built little knife. Fits very well in molle

Lost my first one, a week later bought a new one, the slim handle is so easy to grip, the thumb stud and a little flick make it one handed and the flat blade is easy to keep sharp, one of my favorite things bladed knives I own

This knife was perfect right out of the box. Sharp and effective no sharpening needed. The closure works as it should and it was the perfect size to carry anywhere.

With the exception of the handle material this feels like a great knife. I wish they made it with a full metal handle, the plastic feels a little cheap and like it won’t hold up to prolonged use. I would happily pay extra to get one of these with a solid metal handle.

I usually carry an auto deploying tanto-style knife as a main EDC item. The design of the Pledge caught my eye, and even though it isn't auto deploying, the thumb notch is large enough to deploy the blade with and easy flick. Super lightweight and secures low and discreet in my pocket.

This a perfect blade for everyday use. It stays sharp and is very durable.

First up, durability. After 12-18 months of use, it's got some pitting in the blade edge, some noticable blade play in all directions, and a slight stickiness to the liner-lock. Due to the somewhat unique bolt design, tightening the blade screw doesn't help very much. The handle is quite robust however. Surprisingly scratch resistant and only a couple small dents. 8/10 on durability. Handling and Versatility next. This is a REALLY lightweight knife, and the balance suffers from it. The center on balance on this knife is ~quite~ deep in to the handle, and is demarcated by a change in the printed texture. This is very much a simple, 'one-job' type of knife. Great for fishermen, or maybe someone who works in a shipping warehouse. And while it is a simple knife, it is a great one. The straighter edge makes it VERY easy to sharpen, and while the handle is a very boring shape, the ergonomics are undeniable. VERY smooth deployment, reversible pocket clip, AND a reversible deployment tab. A generous 9/10 on Versatility and handling. This was a very reliable knife when I was using it, and I trusted it enough to give to a loved one after I was done with it.

I love Gerber knives and always carried either a para-frame or a multi-tool but neither fit in my pocket right. This slim handle offers a great option. Barely wider than a marker and I love the length and width of the blade.

Sharp point, good priced, light, sleek, and elegantly stylish.

Best knife I’ve ever owned, seriously! The blade holds an edge extremely well, I love shape of the knife. Super ergonomic feel in the hand. Opens easily. I’ve done everything from skinning squirrels to cutting steak with it. It’s amazing and comes in at a price point that doesn’t make me scared to use it!

Purchased 2years ago. Pros: nice size. Good feel. Solid liner lock. Fits in pocket well. Opens easily with thumb flick (but maybe too easily). Cons: blade doesn’t seem to hold an edge. Dulls with minimal use. Blade came dull. Had to sharpen before first use. Blade opens in pocket. Needs a little initial friction/spring to hold blade closed. Overall good knife for price but needs a little improvement to be great.

I was gifted the pledge the christmas 2024. Being a creature of habit, I have always carried a case yellow handle trapper, I put the gerber in my night stand drawer. About four or weeks later I was headed out to spread bedding and fodder to the chickens and decided to take the pledge alongdue to the fact it opened easily with one hand. I still carry my yellow handle, but i also carry the gerber clipped to the inside front pocket of my blue jeans. The gerber doès all the work because it deploys with one hand, its sharp as a razer, and its tough; besides if I break it gerber warrenty has my back. I'm 69 years old and set in my ways, but just maybe an old dog can learn a new trick!
