Loving It

I am enjoying the upgrade. Still learning stuff. Pretty cool

Instinct 3 Solar 50mm

Bought 2 weeks ago as a replacement for my old one. Bigger screen is a huge plus!

Great Watch And Value

I loved my instinct 2 but wanted a brighter, larger screen so I updated to the instinct 3. This watch does everything! It has a bright, readable display, and even more functions than my previous Garmin. I didn’t think I needed the flashlight because I can always use my phone but I have used it almost nightly for one reason or another, like waking up for an early morning run while my husband is still sleeping. Overall, a great watch at a great price! The one drawback is the length of the wristband. It’s too long and they don’t make a shorter one for this watch. I’ve considered cutting off several inches but don’t want to void any warranty. It would be nice if they offered different lengths or scoring marks to help the consumer cut it.

Good All Around

Bought around a month ago, and since then I’ve hiked with it, floated 50 miles of the Missouri River, and it’s been with me on multiple jobs sites. It has been awesome in all regards. It has a comfortable fit, and looks good. Only downside is no maps on the watch itself.

Gets Better All Of The Time!

I had the 1st Instinct, the 2nd Instinct, and now the Instinct 3 Solar, 50mm. I have loved model more than their predecessors. I really love the Instinct 3. I have a two day Pilgrimage coming up in October, so I wanted max battery life and a great GPS. I gave my previous models to my grandsons, who I are in high school and college football. They really like the watches that I gave them. Excellent work! Garmin is awesome.

Very Pleased

Pleasantly surprised after wearing a Instinct v1 for seven years. The OLED Screen makes for an extraordinary experience using the watch, not to mention the overall performance improvements. The sensors seem much more accurate and responsive. Notifications are easy to read and the GPS functionality is much faster. Overall I am very pleased with the upgrade.

Slow Down

I wish I would have waited and I would’ve gotten the forerunner 570 or the fenix 8. I like it but I don’t love it, I’m new to the cycling world and I bought the watch to fast instead of doing my research.

Great Smart Watch

I've had my Instinct 3 for 3 weeks and it's a great Smart Watch. It outperformed my previous Smart Watch i used. User friendly.

Over Complicated

With every new upgrade the watches change and they don’t seem to become more intuitive. The new model has been more glitchy than the previous models and the settings a buried deeper in the options. My HR monitor has stopped working on occasion and I cannot find a way to set the alerts the same way. Still a rugged watch that holds up better than the competition.

Excellent 4-star Watch Once You Get Past The Setup

I bought the Garmin Instinct 3 (50 mm, Solar) primarily to capture useful health data, and in that department, it has been absolutely fantastic. The Garmin Connect app on my phone is incredibly detailed and gives me exactly the daily insights I was looking for. The physical watch itself is excellent. The 50 mm display face is large, clear, and makes it very easy to see exactly what I need at a glance. On top of that, the battery life with the solar charging has been outstanding. My only real issue was the initial setup. The advertising makes it look like a breeze, but I found it to be pretty frustrating right out of the box. I ended up having to watch a YouTube video just to get through the initial setup process. Even after that, I needed some help from my daughter to fully understand the menus and figure out how to get the most out of what I wanted the watch to do. It’s been a couple of weeks now, and I'm really starting to get used to it. I rely heavily on the Connect app on my phone to check my daily stats, which works flawlessly. It's a solid 4-star watch—highly functional once you get past the initial hurdle of setting it up!

Received incentive

Awesome Tool!

I wanted a heart rate monitor but the GPS feature is what really sold me on this. When combined with the HRM200 chest strap, the HR features are second to none. The screen is easy to see and clear, the options of bands is outstanding, so many features I’m still learning a month later, all together a fantastic addition to your training tools. The only feature I don’t care for is you can’t convert the “steps” counter into miles. Other than that- Highly recommend!

I Love It

This is by far the best watch I have ever had. The amount of sports features are insane. My only complaint is sometimes it seems like my Pace is a little off but that’s probably just me. Great watch overall! I love the flashlight!

Great Device!

I’ve had the 45mm Instinct 3 amoled for about 2 weeks now. I really like it. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about not having a touch screen but I have not missed it at all. The navigation with the buttons is so easy and fast. I’ve had other Garmin watches as well as Apple, Samsung and Google but Garmin is my preferred choice and for the price this one hits all the must haves.

Non Existent Connectivity

Don't buy any Garmin device in Guernsey if you want to connect it to an android device.as you cannot down load from Google play store. and Garmin will not help resolve this . The deice i have had bought for me is really good but without connect. Its not really any better than any normal watch it defiantly is not a smart watch And if you wish a smart watch use some other manufacturer that does recognise Guernsey as part Great Britain like it is politically.

Dissatisfied

Definitely dissatisfied. I got my watch June 10, It worked really well through training and most activities but I recently did a 24 hour endurance run and after around mile 70 it continued to lose GPS tracking and would randomly turned off and back on, despite the battery percentage was still at 70. Definitely was a big-time inconvenience in a serious race that meant a lot to me. It was a big-time let down because the watch have been working so well.
