Added Peace Of Mind In The Back Country
This has given me some piece of mind when my wife climb in remote areas well outside of cell service. Plus the GPS navigation lasts loads longer than my phone. I also like how all the menus are completely customizable.

Feature Packed Gps!
I've been using this GPS unit for several months now and really like it! Easy to upload routes/tracks to it ahead of time and follow them on the trail if needed. The inReach messaging is great for keeping in touch with people when out of cell service!

Clunky
The overall experience looks like it was built in the 90's. Simple tasks like pairing device with IOS is not intuitive. Onboarding experience is poor. They should outsource all of their software development to a company that knows how to build software. They need to try out the "my mom" test. If you can give it to your mom, and she can get it working, then you are onto something. If not - go back and make the software experience better. All of the GPS providers suffer from the same ailment - their software experience is poor. The hardware is sturdy, but the software is just not intuitive at all.

Excellent When Paired With Onx!!
We upgraded our Garmin inReach+ to the 66i. It’s super smooth to use, easy set up with OnX and now we can camp off our raft and safely identify private vs. public land. HIGHLY recommend!

Great Product
It is very reliable, because I am a single camper, I need the sos function to prevent accidents, and I also need a reliable navigation system. I can edit the track on the basecamp and upload it to the 66i to prevent the phone from running out of power.

Great Device
Works great and as expected. Purchased for use during an international trip latter this year where the is little or no cell service. Been using during our training to track distance and routes. Easy Birdseye downloads for areas where map info is limited. Use Garmin Basecamp to manage downloads and transfer to your device.

Does Exactly What It It Advertised To Do.
Happy with it so far. It performs as expected after the many weeks of research I did before making purchase. I bought the unit primarily for the InReach function as I like to backpack where there is often limited/no cell coverage and I have a very nervous family that Iikes to know I am ok, and I wanted a stand alone device. this feature is very handy and works well. The OS is kind of clumsy and not always very intuitive when compared to a smartphone, but Garmin really doesn’t advertise that that was the intent. Better than previous generation handhelds I’ve owned. It does pair w/ my iPhone through the Explore App and that adds some ease of typing text, etc. Battery is as advertised. Overall I would recommend this product as it does exactly what it promises too, and that was what I was looking for.
