This parka is a great overall parka for both mild winter days and colder spring and fall days. The length is perfect and the shape is very flattering. Im 5'6 135 and ordered a medium so I could fit layer big wool sweaters and hoodies underneath. I have broader shoulders as well so it fits perfectly in the shoulders. The G-1000 fabric looks great and it's durable and waterproof with snow. I would say it's not ideal for really cold days where it drops below -15 but it can be done with a good layering system. One benefit to this jacket is its very light compared to other heavier parkas made for colder temperatures.

This is my second winter with my Kiruna Padded Parka and it’s great at keeping me warm and cozy in the Pacific Northwest. I ride my bike or walk everywhere and it’s the coat I always choose when it’s 30-50 degrees and lightly raining (or not), so it works for fall, winter, and spring here. I would love to buy another one in a different color but I don’t really like any of the other current options. Please make this parka in arctic green! That would be my dream coat!

Truly wind-proof. Truly water-proof. I do have to remember to get it waxed at the end of the season. A good balance so I am not to warm not too cold. I usually wear a single layer underneath. I love my Kiruna. (Fjallraven please bring back the brighter red color.)

I pondered on this purchase for several weeks but am SO happy I went for it! It is perfectly padded for shoulder reasons in the Pacific Northwest, and kept me warm on this evening’s walk in low 40s temps. I’ve had so much trouble finding a jacket that fits my body type (5’5” 106 lbs). The size suggestion was xs, but I went with my intuition and bought an xxs and it’s a perfect fit. After such a long search for a coat that works for me, this purchase has been a real confidence booster. Thank you for quality products and inclusive sizing, Fjallraven! I’m sure I’ll be back for more!

This has been the perfect parka for Minnesota winter (and late autumn and early spring) days. It has been my "go to" jacket for walking - I'm never too warm or too cold. It blocks the wind and moisture. I'd say, depending on what I layer with, I'm good from single digits to the 40's. It's also just getting more comfortable over time. Can't recommend it enough!
