Expensive But Very Durable And Waterproof
Pants came in just in time for an alpine hunt. Wore lightweight thermal leggings and the Eco-shell pants over them. It wasn't raining during the trek up BUT, the mountain was socked in. So there was moisture on logs we had to climb over, and brushes we had to fight through. The pants were soaked on the outside, but I was just damp on the inside due to sweat. I also stepped into muskeg water and it went over my hiking boots, but my boots were still dry. I was unable to dry out the shell pants as the weather did not allow it. It basically rained the whole time I was up there. But on the day we trekked down, we had sun and wind. Pants dried out enough that it was just mildly damp when I put it on. Trek down was hard. I was fighting through brushes and devils club, sliding down logs, fell on my butt and slid. Pants soaked on the outside again because of the dew collected on vegetation. But pants did not tear, nor were my boots wet. Again, jump damp from sweat, but I was not soaked through. I did this hike before with just the Viddapro pants and I was soaked. Shell pants were absolutely muddy from the trip. Washed it with Nikwax tech wash and inspected for tears and rips. NONE. Did a soft shell proof treatment (Nikwax), and now it's good as new. I was initially on the fence on purchasing this as it's $400!!! That's really expensive! But, I chose this over Kuiu as Kuiu did not have my size and the inseam would have been ridiculously long. My husband had the light weight Kuiu shell pants (fraction of the price). It kept him dry but it did have one rip at the knee when we were done. I live in South East Alaska and it rains a lot over here so I have owned (and destroyed) a lot of rain pants over the years. 1 pair made of lighter material (about $100) will normally last me 1.5 years before the coating peels/wears off, or I rip them at the knees. I am impressed with the ECO shell plus the ability to wash it and re-proof it is a huge plus. If you have $400 to spare, I highly recommend this. I ordered the size S. I'm 5'5" at 115-120lbs.

Water Proof Pants
The customer service at the Mall of America store is exceptional. I wear only the Keb pants for hiking and have now purchased the Keb Eco Water proof pants, as well. The fit is slimmer than most of the pull on water proof pants, which I like. Exceptional products and exceptional customer service!
