Good, But Not In Rain

I have mix feelings about the pants. On one hand, they are well made and seem to be built for a lifetime of use. On the other hand, I went on a hike where rain was more than I had hoped to be, and despite applying wax before leaving home the pants soaked a lot (a lot) of water. A Pleasant Surprise

Was hesitant to pay this much for a pair of hiking pants, but after a 2 week trip in Iceland, they are my new favorite and well worth it. The weather resistance was great for the intermittent rainy and always windy conditions, and the side vents are super for dumping heat. With a light thermal tight, good into the 30's. After washing twice, will need to reapply the wax.

Great Trouser*

I bought these at my local Fjällraven store here in Burlington, Vermont, and didn’t try them on as I’m usually a 48 (32”). These fit, but a little snug around the waist. I’m 183CM and 79Kg. So I’m using these trousers to help me slim back down to 70Kg. With that said, the quality of these are by far some of the best trekking trousers I have owned. The quality and waterproofing is fantastic. They feel light and airy even without opening the side vents. There are plenty of pockets for stirring essentials and then some. The material is extremely durable and holds up well to what ever you can throw at it, or be thrown at by Mother Nature. I love how easy they are to care for, and that the local store will reapply the Greenland wax when needed. Looking forward to many years with these trousers here in Vermont and around the world.

Exceeded Expectations

Fantastic pants fit for nearly any occasion. I summited Mt Washington in the winter with these and they are very durable for inclement weather such as snow and wind, and they have elasticity to flex when needed. For sizing, I am 5'11 and 170 slim athletic build. I sized slightly up (32 length and 33-34 waist) in order to put long underwear underneath. Highly recommend just be careful with the elastic areas not to rip them.
