I ordered the hat in large. Sizing specs are right on. Fits as expected. Quality of wool and construction are of the quality expected from Filson. I’m very pleased and am considering a second hat in another color. An example of “you get what you pay for”.

Bought a month ago. Awesome Hat will last lifetime will never need to be replaced. Can't go wrong with Filson products everything built to last.

I bought this hat close to a year ago and it surpassed my expectations in most areas. It has seen everything thrown at it from torrential downpours to blowing off my head into the Nowitna river and having to be saved before it sunk. It DIRELY needs some sort of chin strap or whatever you call it because with the larger brim the wind catches it easily and will whip it right off your head and without fail will land in the most inconvenient spot(mud, river or whatever terrain traps are present). All in all its a great hat, it will keep you warm even when sopping wet and looks good doing it. Needs a chin strap for 5 stars though...

Plain and simple, best hat ever. The fit is excellent. It’s light but heavy enough to know you have a hat on. Also, looks awesome. Would definitely buy it in another cooler for sure.

I originally bought a large, and it was too snug. (I usually wear large) I returned it for an XL and it fits better. Still too soon to say that I love it, as the fit it now slightly too big. I’d like to be able to shape the crown a bit too. As is, it’s a bit boring. all in all it is well built, the wool is quite thick all around the brim, and it is warm.

I’d love a 1/2 size between medium and large. Medium is snug but breaking in. Large was too big. Clearly on par with other Filson gear. 5 more characters :)

Typical Filson quality for the outdoorsman. Nothing beats wool for winters spent in the woods and this is a great style of hat for general woods bumming. Looking forward to wearing my new hat this season.

This is a beautiful, well made hat. Substantial and a really nice color. The only drawback is the band appears to be faux leather. For the price, you'd think it would be real. But I'm still very glad I bought it.

I bought this a month ago for a trip to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. It was perfect for hiking and strolling around. I live in Austin TX and it’s perfect for here too! Super comfortable and not too hot!

Getting lots of compliments while sporting this about town...and as my head gets bigger it’s staying pleasantly warm. Just a heads up, I went off the sizing chart measurements but needed to bump up a size for best fit.

Good stuff. Fog this for my wife for Christmas and I have yet to give it to her but I hope she’s stoked. And if she’s not, I’ll just keep it for me!

I have been eyeing this hat for a long time. I read all the reviews on the internet and was hesitant on the purchase. I figured If it wasn't what I wanted or if my wife said I looked goofy wearing it, I could always send it back. However, I love this hat and the wife gave a thumbs up also. I carefully measured my head just above my ears and it was 23 inches. I went by the Filson sizing chart and ordered the Large size in Charcoal. It was a perfect fit. Not snug at all and not loose at all. Just perfect. It has a comfortable headband and no itch from the 24 oz Mackinaw Wool. I like wearing this hat with my solid Charcoal and solid Black Mackinaw Cruiser coats. I do not intend on wearing this hat in the rain, however, I do enjoy wearing it during this Dec 2019 Colorado winter with lots of snow. Very satisfied with this purchase.

My husband saw this hat while we were in Alaska. He wanted it, but didn’t want yo spend the money. Once home he regretted his decision. He found your website and planned to order a hat. I beat him to it. I ordered the hat for his birthday in October. He is very pleased with his hat and proudly shows it off to everyone. Very good quality. Very stylish. No regrets on my purchase!
