Got this vest for my partner who is hard to fit, picky about clothing and how things fit, and likes to be a certain type of stylish. This vest did not disappoint. It is adjustable enough that it fits perfectly, the description was spot on, and it is so beautifully made that I didn't mind the price. I can't say how it will last because I bought this in May and it is too hot to be worn here now. Given the level of craftsmanship, I am expecting it to wear well.

When I bought this I was looking for a vest I could ware at work that would allow me to be somewhat dressed up but still functional and able to take a beating. This Filson, hit on all the marks. It goes great with almost any button up shirt, dress or casual. It keeps me warm without over heating when I’m exerting myself and if any mud dust or dirt gets on this vest it brushes out very easily. This thing is made to last!! I was a little hesitant about the cost but I couldn’t be more happy. I purchased a Medium and it fits great! I’m 6 1” about 180 pounds with a slender build. I have plenty of room in the belly area and the fit around the shoulders is perfect. So when I eventually let my love of Beer extend my waist line this will still fit well.

Great looking, warm and a perfect fit. I wear it with my Stetson Open Road and it's very complementary. I'm 5'11", 185 lbs and the Large fits really well with room for a layer underneath such as a flannel shirt. I gave it 4 stars mainly because the 5 buttons are a bit cumbersome for me - BUT this is a preference, NOT a ding against the vest itself. I'm used to jackets & vests that zip, so there is a little break-in period to get used to buttons. If you're looking for a wool vest and like this style & color, you cannot go wrong.

Worth the dollars, folks. This is the 3rd one I’ve bought—-I got my husband one originally, which I stole (I’m 5’7”, 130lb, fits perfect, especially after shrinking a bit after years of wear), a new one for my husband, and now one for a big present for a friend. The very best, OK?

This is my first piece of clothing from Filson, and it lives up to the reputation so far. It is a well-made and substantial piece of clothing, made of thick, warm wool. I bought a size large and the fit is great for me personally ( reasonably fit, 5'11, 180 lbs, 42r, can wear medium or large depending on the brand). It looks trim, but I have plenty of room for a long sleeve t-shirt and a wool Pendleton underneath without feeling restricted whatsoever. In terms of looks, it's kind of a cross between the Malrboro Man and Mumford & Son which isn't for everyone, but it's certainly a nice change of pace from the puffy down stuff everybody seems to wear here in the Rocky Mountains.

This vest is of high quality material. Always impressed with Filson quality. Please treat yourself to this vest, you deserve it. Really like the charcoal color, I hope Filson brings back the olive green color in the Western style vest. A brown color would be awesome also, If you will make I will buy!

I bought this just recently and I absolutely love it. It has a classic style that feels great and is awesome for layering. I use it while working outside or when I am fishing on the river and the four pickets come in handy!

Bought this last Winter. Wore it for all but In Court Dress and received many compliments. It fits and feels great! Styling is timeless. Quality is the Best. I recommend it without any reservation. If you have one wool vest it needs to be this one!

This was a Christmas gift for our college son. It is the perfect vest for him to wear to interviews and moving cows. What a perfect fit, too! He looks so handsome in it.

Took a chance and bought this vest for myself to wear during seasonal transitions, and as another layer of warmth in the winter. It's almost too pretty to wear for work...almost. I'm a carpenter, work outside much of the time, and this vest meets my every expectation. The wool is dense, not itchy, there's room to move my arms. Pockets aren't that deep, and I do wish there was one on the inside. Oh yes, I know it says "Mens" but until Filson makes a women's version of this vest, here we are. Buttoning is weird because they're on the opposite side. I'll deal. I'm a F, 5'6", 125lbs and I ordered an XS.

I decided to treat myself with this vest. Already loving my decision to buy it! Definitely going to out last me. Warm and functional. I have worn it many times... From out to dinner to out felling a tree. If you are on the fence, jump over and by a Filson!

I am very pleased with this vest, which was my expectation from the other Filson vests and jackets that I have. Top quality fabric, stitching, and seam details make it worth every dollar.
