Great looking fishing shorts. The material is comfortable and also looks good for casual wear. Unfortunately, the sizing is all over the place. I ordered a few pairs and the waist size is very inconsistent! The sz 32 (5'10" 170lbs) Khaki color sits on my waist perfectly, but dark grey is baggy and requires a belt.

We visited Disney world May16-21, 2024 and I packed my old cotton shorts from years past. We live in the southwest U.S. and I'm not terribly familiar with the weather in Florida late May. I did more research on the Disney parks rather than the local climate and appropriate attire. We land and arrive at our hotel and I immediately knew the clothes I brought were Not made for this climate. For those who know, the Humidity is No joke in these parts. Disney Springs is the local shopping mall and there I found the Columbia Sportswear store and I purchased my first Men's PFG Terminal Tackle shorts with an attached bottle opener and zippered pocket. I wore these shorts all four days of our stay (I washed them of course at the hotel). They are light, comfortable, functional, and they breath. For fishing, hiking, or a visit to Disney these are my new go-to outdoor shorts. I love them.

I've had several pairs of these shorts. Other than a pocket seam coming loose on one pair, they have been very good shorts. Picked up a new pair on Saturday. Got my usual size 36. I happened to be wearing a pair that were 36. Decided to try the new pair on just in case. Glad I did because the "new " 36's were closer to 34's. When I measured the waistband of the "new" pair to my old 36's they were shorter by more than an inch. Had to get a 38. This "size deflation" is not what I would expect from Columbia. Buyers beware.

I have Purchased at least 20 pairs of these. shorts they are very sturdy, I like the fit and the fabric, but the sizes change by color 1 wear a 38 and I buy the black ones no problem any other color they are like a size smaller?

These shorts are very lightweight and dry quickly. They even come with an integrated bottle opener and fishing line cutter.

The shorts feel great. I would make the bottle opener/line cutter removable. It bangs around in the washer dryer. I carry my wallet in my right back pocket. The pocket is so large, my wallet moves all around. I am constantly reaching back and moving it especially when I sit down. I’m going to have to sew up that pocket to make my wallet sit straight.

I have multiple pairs of these and use them for field work. They are lightweight and dry quickly. Great for a day in and out of the water.
