Drop Foot

I don’t run anymore due to drop foot. I need a shoe that is comfortable but offers stability. Brooks does that pretty well

I unfortunately returned these (as I did the Ghost 17s) - I've been wearing Ghosts for over 10 years. I'm currently running in old 15s and 16s, since it looks like Ghost is departing from their previous versions. Compared to the 17s, I would say the 18s have a more traditional toe box width, and I liked the improved tongue. Unfortunately the heel also seems wider and caused blisters on the insides of my heels - this has never happened with Ghosts before. The worst part is the excessive cushion which makes the shoe extremely sluggish - like running through sand. I had to put so much work in just getting through my runs it was not enjoyable. I do hope brooks goes back to the traditional, reliable Ghost design with a more energetic feel - but for now, I'll have to look for another brand unfortunately.

Ditch These Boring Color Designs

Such boring colors, re-release the Ghost 15 camo designs in all the color combos those came out in. Even the black and white camo Ghost 14 design was so much better than all these boring, flat color combos. Yuck don't like any of them. I only wear Ghost so I am so glad I bought do many of them when they came in cool color designs.

New Tongue Design

I really wanted to love these shoes, but the redesigned tongue caused discomfort at the top when tied. This is not something I’ve experienced with a running shoe before. Hoping they brings back the traditional tongue design in the next model. Their custom service is always excellent and makes the return process hassle-free.

Narrow Width Shoes

I love wearing my Brooks!! They have been an important part of my recovery for the last several years from a stroke and other health issues. Brooks has helped me so much with my balance struggles and my podiatrist recommended them. Another bonus for me was the ability to get the right shoe in the right width, which in my case is narrow AA. Thank you Brooks!!!

Newer Is Not Always Better

I really wanted to like these shoes but it doesn’t feel as supportive as the previous Ghost pair that I have and wanted to replace. The top of the shoe by the toes is stiffer material and it bends into the top of my feet and toes, it hurts after a mile into running. I had to take them off.

I love the new tongue on these. Very comfortable and a nice upgrade from the 17.

Best For Cushioning

I’m not used to this brand this is my first pair, I am not sure if the width is right for me I bought the medium width and I probably should have bought the wide. The left foot feels alright but my right foot is kind of tight. It seems better without socks but I feel the socks are needed especially for running. I haven’t ran in them yet only walking, so I wasn’t sure if I should return for a wide width. As far as cushioning I like it, when compared to some other brands that can feel rough when walking on cement.

I’m A Fan!

I bought these for a friend and she says that they are comfortable. She wears them for work and is on her feet daily. I also bought a pair for myself and I have always been a fan of Brooks. I’m on my feet for long periods of time and my feet and toes do not hurt. The laces stay tied. Not overly squishy and great arch support!
