This is a must have for any ISUP fisherman. This sand spear locks my SUP into the sand on the flats flawlessly. I can anchor in and stay on the fish all day. I also use it for dual purpose. When I don't want to paddle, I use it like a tradition push pole to propel the boat by pushing off the sand in the shallow parts of the bay. This is probably the best item I have purchased for my BOTE fishing rig besides the actual boat.

I love the functionality of the spear. It allows me to easily anchor when quick spotting reds.

The sandspear is extremely well built. It looks nice and functions as well as a push pole as it does an anchor. it is an extremely nice accessory to have to hold you on your spot in the current while making cast at a really nice sized fish. this works great with the bug slingers series of paddle boards with the through hole in the center of the deck to place the sandspear through and hold you on your spot.

Works great needs a bobber or a float of some kind when you drop it or it falls of the board though.

I was unsure this would work for my lakes but it is absolutely perfect for what I was wanting. Holds you in place and stays out of the way.

I use my sandspear on my Gatorshell Rackham and on my HD areo. It’s quickly deployed to hold postion me when I want to cast or just hang out.

The sandspear is so sturdy. Before I bought I attempted to use other long spear like objects but they would fail under the pressure. This thing is legit!

The spear is of BOTE quality no doubt. It’s just a long spear to anchor a kayak in still water unless in a Great Lake. I see I can cut it to size. You know once I do that for my favorite two or three paddles I’ll need a longer one. It’s a tie. I know one piece is superior. It’s just a lot to tow in one piece.

Can’t get enough of my new sand spear. It slides in smoothly and keeps me stuck in place. Must have for those that like to multitask!

I thought there was a spot where I could use it in conjunction with my board. I’ll need to rig something up.

Perfect. I attached a dummy cord to mine so if you I drop it in water i can recover it. Remember it is a stick pin anchor and it will sink.
