Strong With Issues

Pros: This is a tried and true design modeled off the old Bible I tent. Simple to pitch and surprisingly resilient to wind. Light. Issues: Total bummer to have to seam seal a tent in 2022 when factory taped seams is practically the industry standard. Huge miss on BD's part. This is not the dual layer fabric you may have experienced with the Bibler I-tent that had an interior layer (almost like a bonded bounty paper towel) to take up condensation. Instead this is basically a single wall of Sil nylon. Try breathing into a sil nylon stuff sack in cool weather and you'll get the idea. These issues severely limit the functional range of use for this tent to warm, dry, or brief which you can't always plan for or control. Humid? Expect clammy gear. Cold? Expect interior condensation. Long trip with either condition in play? Expect clammy gear. That said, use the tent within the narrow conditions it's good for and it can perform quite nicely. The problem is that in this day and age there's not a great excuse for gear with such narrow operating windows.
