I love how this coordinates with the tent. The color coding makes setting this up with the tent super simple.

It's lightweight, it is compact, and it protects the bottom of my favorite backpacking tent from rocks, sticks, and debris! Also, it allows me to set up in the rain without getting the inside of my tent soggy. Let the ultralight nerds use a piece of tyvec, I'll stick with this.

Glad I got this to go with my most awesome tent!!! Though I must say, I think it weird that it is sold separate from the tent. Love the color coding!

This is absolutely necessary for the lightweight backpack tents. This will totally save the bottom of your tent. If you want longevity of your equipment, this will help.

The orange side of the footprint fits in the holes, but the grey side 'straps' are too long to fit properly in the holes. I have seen others describe the same problem. What is the fix for this? Sew them to be shorter? Seems like the price should not require this kind of alteration.

Got this to go with my Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL1 tent to protect the bottom from sticks and stones and normal wear and tear. It only adds about four ounces, and in my book that’s worth it to protect the investment I put in this tent. I got it at a great deal, and am looking forward to using it in many trips over many miles for many years. It fits the tent

Just got the footprint for my Copper Spur HV UL 1 (2020). This seems a bad fit for the main tent (and a weird setup): (1) the footprint is about 1.5 cm too small on each side. It does work as the bathtub floor of the inner tent lifts off the ground but surely a tad larger would be better protection, especially on wet ground (2) the straps for the fittings on the four corners, on the other hand, seem to be too long so that the footprint slips when attached (2) The fittings don't seem to be right - to fix the footprint so that it does not fall off one has to put the footprint rings on the tent poles _above_ the rings for the inner tent, which doesn't make any sense. I am now checking with my supplier (in Australia) whether they actually sent me the 2020 version but if this is it I'm disappointed. This doesn't look like Big Agnes quality. Might as well just use a piece of Tyvek.

I recently downsized from the copper spur hv ul2 to the ul1 and wanted something to add durability to the tent floor. This footprint not only provides this durability, but it also allows me to leave the tent body at home and just use the fast fly setup on trips that I know the weather is going to cooperate. Sure you can make a ground sheet out of polycro or tyvek, but you lose the flexibility of the fast fly setup. For me, this is an excellent addition to the tent and the weight is negligible.
I used the Copper Spur HV UL1 footprint for the first time on an 8 day trek along the JMT in August 2021. I bought the Copper Spur HV UL1 in late 2019 for some section hiking along the PCT but due to COVID didn't get to use it (or need the later purchased footprint) until 2021. The footprint is made for the tent, making pitching a breeze. It is durable yet lightweight. It dries quickly, sloughs dirt well, and tucks neatly into the tent bag. My only negative was that the tent pole holes seem to be poorly positioned, leaving too much slack/ loose footprint material beneath the taught tent and increasing the likelihood of the poles pulling from the footprint in standalone mode.

It’s a well made footprint. It’s really not an optional part of the tent, so I don’t know why it isn’t included with the tent itself. Just charge more for the tent.

I would like to retract my previous review of this product as it is possible I was originally using it wrong. For years I have been using a Marmot equinox 2 person tent which I replaced with an Salt Creek SL 3. On my marmot tent the drop cloth and tent were setup in such away that tent poles hooked through both the metal rings on the both the tent body and drop cloth which then perfectly aligned the loops for the stacks. I could be wrong but I don't think this one is setup like that bad assumption on my part. This last weekend I was out camping and it was windy with gusts probably around 20Mph at times. As such I first stacked out the drop cloth for the Copper Spur HV UL1 this time. I then got out the tent body and hooked stake out points on to the stakes I was using to hold the drop cloth to the ground. Once this was done I inserted the poles into the buckles on the tent body and didn't worry that the drop cloth ones don't match up. Again not sure if I was doing it wrong originally but this seems how it was intended to work. I would then assume you only use the pole inserts on the ground cloth when you are using the fast fly setup.

Just got this to go with my new Copper Spur HV UL1. This ground cloth doesn't correctly fit the tent in my opinion. The ground cloth is the correct size for the tent body but the straps with the grommets in them that the polls go into are too long when used with the tent body. Because the fit is so loose they just fall out and don't stay in place on the polls. The grommets need to be moved closer to the ground cloth for a proper fit.
Mockitup
Works as expected, especially if you want to fast pitch this tent or only use the fly. For the couple oz more in weight totally worth it over polycryo.
