My old hiking shoes broke down just before backpacking, and these were Super Comfortable and dry from day 1 in Hoover Wilderness. Thanks!

My absolutely favorite hiking boot that I've ever worn! As a doctor of physical therapy, finding the right shoe is so important and this is the perfect balance of supporting natural foot shape and function, comfort, and durability. Highly recommend!

I've had these for around a month and have been super happy thus far. I'm in the Seattle area and take daily walks through an often muddy forest trail and these have been great for that. My feet have been nice a dry and I've never felt like they were slippery. A few weeks ago we had record low temperatures and the sidewalks were icy, but I felt super stable in my pisgahs! They are way easier to slip on than any other hiking boots I've tried and the wide sole is super comfy.

I've about worn out my second pair and plan to get a third. Although these are marketed as a hiking boot; I am a whitewater guide and use them for that. I've done long backpacks in them, climbing tree work in them, and they look good with streetwear if you're just in the city. If Astral stops making this shoe I will freak out

I took off two stars because the waterproofing didn't last ten months. I'm going to try a waterproofing spray, because otherwise I love them! Light, comfortable, I like the wide toe box, and they were great for hiking... Until suddenly my toes were soggy.

These are so comfortable and can't believe how well they fit my foot. I have a weird shaped foot and find it hard to find a good performance shoe so was thrilled to find these fit so well!

I absolutely love these boots. I’ve struggled with hiking boots. I was always getting blisters and had bunion pain. Not an issue with the Pisgahs! They are waterproof, extremely comfortable and great ankle support. They fit my orthotics perfectly too. You might have to re-do the laces during your hike to ensure they’re tight enough for the ankle support, but I’ve put over 100 miles of hikes on these boots now and I haven’t had any issues. I can’t recommend them enough.

I love these boots for hiking! They are super grippy (far better than the three other brands that I bought last year!) They wash well in the washing machine. They dry quickly and, best of all, they are really light and comfortable. I highly recommend them. The only thing that could be improved is the footbed. It doesn't have much cushion.

Fits like a glove! I love my Pisgahs for everything from running errands around town to hikes to low tide wanders down in the tidal flats. I wear them loose with the laces untied so that I can just slip them on and run out the door.

Super comfortable boots with easy lacing and support for ankles. I love wearing hiking, snowy walks or even just yard work. Retains great traction in all weather conditions.

As others have said.... you need to order a half size larger and I would also suggest getting the wide. If you are going to wear with thick socks, dry suit, etc... you should definitely go with the W and 1 size larger....

You definitely need to order a 1/2 size larger. When I first got this shoe it really hurt around my ankles right where the top of the shoe is. Eventually I broke them in and everything was good. They were super comfy and I love the style. But one day I left them in 106 degree heat and they shrank more than a half size. I asked Astral if the warranty kicked in but they said it was my fault, so no. This is not a shoe that can withstand the heat! Where I backpack and raft, it is often 100-110. Sadly this shoe cannot take it.
