4.8 Stars! So Close To Perfect

My sister came to visit me and had these sandals. She could not stop raving about them, so naturally I had to get a pair. I spend part of the year in SE Asia where it is hot, humid, and stormy most of the time. These shoes are perfect for everyday walking to days at the beach. Straight out of the box they are ready to wear and never got any blisters or had any new shoe break in time. Bonus that they are true to size.. I consider these my everyday shoe. A few small details that could be improved upon...The strap in the back occasionally becomes unhooked and is just not necessary. You can slide your foot in easily without unhooking so it is just an added feature that isn't needed. Also, the top buckles are a bit big and cumbersome. If they were smaller or even a different design would be better. Recently I was kayaking and they kept hitting the side of the boat and it got a bit uncomfortable and don't really add much to the functionality. They were not so bothersome that I took the shoes off, just that I noticed it. I do absolutely love these shoes. They are the most comfy I have ever had. I typically spend summers in PNW and they are just as useful there to walk trails or just around town. I recommend them to everyone, they are that good! Anyway overall LOVE the sandals.

Love The Design!

I had a raft trip coming up on the Nahanni River in the Northwest Territories Canada and wanted to have a pair of sandals for the trip. I have not had good luck with sandals in the past, but I was sure happy I gave the Astral PFD sandal a try. It was the first time I came home without my feet rubbed raw and sore . The foot cup held my feet in place and there was no rubbing. I was impressed how secure my feet stayed in place even when the sandle was in the water. The little tab made it easy to pull them on when my feet were wet. The wide foot bed is nice, no pinching and my feet had plenty of room to sit comfortably. I love the design, there are no annoying straps between or around my toes and the wide strap at the back of the heel made them feel even more secure to my foot. They were great for walking on the cobble and rocks, I also liked how most of my foot was covered on top . Absolutely the most comfortable and functional water sandals I have ever tried. I will be ordering a second pair for working in the garden.

Love Them!

These are the best sandals, especially for outdoor activities like hiking, walking on trails, and being on the boat. The fit is perfect and the support is by far the best I've experienced. All of that and yet they are more stylish than many other brands. Love them!

So Close To Five Stars

The sandals surprised me in several ways. The fit is narrower than expected so wider feet might have issues, I did not. The sandal is surprisingly comfortable but I am really in between sizes and went with the smaller of the two. The little stars on the footbed are weird at first but after using for a while, I wasn't bothered by them. The one drawback for me are the huge top buckles. If they had a simple hook like at the heel that would slim the profile down a lot and make it better for a paddle boat-personal opinion. Pretty light weight, doesn't hold a lot of rocks or sand, comfortable right out of the box. They do stay wet a while but hey, they are river shoes. I give them a 4.5 stars. Astral just keeps on getting better.

Great Customer Service

Does a decent job on wet rocks based on initial use (2 weeks canoeing). True to size. Good quality/durability in straps and insole. Relatively lightweight compared to other brands. A bit pricey. Great customer service.
