Cool Shoes But Where‚äôs The Liner???

These look fantastic and are fairly comfortable and grippy but the description includes this sock liner that is NOT IN THE SHOE. As a result there are some inner seams that rub and I’m looking into wearing some kind of socks (wool? Lycra?) underneath which defeats part of the purpose of paying what I did for this particular brand and pair - an included sock liner that just isn’t in the shoe. That said, they are some of the best water shoes I’ve tried, I just think the description should be changed to more accurately describe it as it is, a great water shoe that does NOT include a sock liner.

Yes Shoes!

I bought my first pair in 2021 and wore them every single day of the summer with or with out socks, on the river, at work, walking the dog, hiking, mountain biking, u name it. Easy to clean and don’t really hold smell. Love having my feet protected on the water and having loads of grip. Wider toebox than any other shoe I’ve worn. Downsides would be price has gotten a little high I think $80-90 is more appropriate bc u do have to buy a new pair every two years with heavy use to achieve same performance. And of course, more color options! Some fun tans with neon accents, stitch work designs would be cool. Thank u for the shoes much love.

Not As Good

Keeping this short & simple. Toe box is great. Colors are great. Light weight is great. Comfy is great. Drying is great. The rise up the heel is to short... my foot slips out all the time... while rafting and while swimming, even when I tighten the laces as much as possible. The traction is not even close to my last Astrals, which is what I was really looking forward to in this shoe with the reviews & newer technology. I cannot trust these shoes at all jumping on/off rocks while scouting rapids, nor on grassy shores. Really sad and disappointed. I've used them 2 short seasons.

What Sock Liner?

I tried five styles of Astrals, and these are the ones I am keeping for my first whitewater shoes. The reputation of the Astral grip is stellar. Hoping they hold up for a few seasons at least. Two areas of disappointment were the lack of sockliner and colorways. The box claims the Brewess has a sockliner for sockless comfort, but there are rough/bulky interior seams that rub the top of my foot. I will order a second pair in case this one was a fluke, but otherwise I will live with it for now. I also found the color ways to be blah, although the navy looks better in person than I expected. I'd love to see neutrals (navy, dark tan, gray, etc) together as in the men's Loyaks or something a little sportier and bolder on the flip side.

Not Like The Old Ones

Absolutely great traction. Zero complains about that. However, the heel changed to be more of a runner’s heel and my foot has gotten stuck in the boat because of it. Very unsafe in my opinion and I feel like the heel should be like the Brewess 1.0
