I was introduced to Astral in 2020 when I became the lifestyle directors for the Olympic Training Site in Oklahoma City, OK . This location has one of the 3 Olympic Level white water centers in the United States. My waterman background was being in the ocean (California) The raft guides in OKC loved the astral shoes. So I got some TR1’s and really put them to work at the facility and in the Oklahoma waterways. I have been in the industry for 3 decades and 100% dig Astral. We lived in Charlotte, NC for 11 years and very famliar with Asheville, NC and the Pisgah National Forest. The Pisgah boots are so comfortable and love the materials. Just came back from a trip to Bend, OR and brought the Pisgah’s rather than my Blundstones. Great pick !!

I love these boots! I've been wearing Altra Lone Peaks for years and was desperate to find a waterproof solution with the same zero drop and wide toe box. So happy to have found it. I've got about 75 miles of hiking in my pair of Pisgahs now (and with a quick brush, they look brand new). They're a little stiff right out of the box. It took a bit to break them in, but they're extremely comfortable now. I've hiked on rock, roots, dirt, mud, snow, ice, slush, and soggy meadows. The traction and grip are great in all conditions, and my feet are always dry. I wear a 10.5 Lone Peak, and following the advice, I went up and started with an 11 Pisgah. Those were too big. I returned them and went down to a 10.5, which fits perfect with a medium to thick sock. Because of the comfort and the way they look, I bought a second pair (10.5) to wear with my jeans around town. I love my boots. Highly recommended.
Fit well out of the box, true to size. Have worn them mostly around town and for yard work. Live in rainy PNW and they’ve kept my feet dry!

I find these boots to be very comfortable out of the box. I like the level footbed and wide toe box. These, like my Astral TR1 Scuffler shoes, seem to run a little small, so I sized up. I've only had them for a month and haven't tested their waterproofness yet. So far, I'm very happy with these boots.

Super comfortable and lightweight. As always with Astral, grip is exceptional!

I have had these boots for over a year and I wear them regularly for work and for hiking. They were comfortable right out of the box. I put them on for the first time and hiked McAfee's Knob with no issues whatsoever. The water proofing is great and is still hanging in there. I have had several other types of hiking boots and none have lasted as well as these have. I will certainly get another pair when and if these run out of gas.

The boots are very well manufactured. The quality in the material is impressive. After wearing Altra lone peak mids for years I would say the Pisgah’s seem over engineered compared to Altra’s. Which is good thing! Alta’s just don’t hold up for long. I work a job that requires black boots. It is hard to find a boot that has a wide toe box and zero drop. I figured I would try these since Alta doesn’t have a black color way this year. I was very impressed with the Pisgah’s quality although the toe box feels a bit more cramped when comparing the two. The Alstrals fit more snug all the way around my foot. After two days of wearing them I severely sprained my ankle. Not blaming the Pisgah’s I just think it’s because they are more stiff and not as flexible around the ankle. I would recommend this company just not sure if the boots are gonna work long term for me.

I’ve had these for two years. used during the winter and for day hiking. They are fairly comfortable and wear well. However, they have more cushioning than I’d like and the waterproofing wears out after about a year.

Absolutely worth it. The sole being modeled after my favorite shoe (TR1), I have no complaints. While the quality of other large brands continues to decline, Astral continues to make stand-out products that deliver what they say and withstand real-world abuse. Please keep up the good work, or I'll be forced to go barefoot.

Very comfortable and versatile shoe. You won't find another shoe brand with grippier rub. I love the confidence and safety the grip provides.
Locatelli
Very comfortable, stylish and perfect for wet and snowy conditions.

I bought these boots a couple months ago for a hiking trip to New Zealand's South island. I wanted something light, comfortable, sturdy, grippy, waterproof and good looking enough to wear out to a casual dinner. After wearing these for almost three weeks and hiking an average of seven miles each day, I can confirm that these checked all the boxes. From urban exploring in Sydney to glacier hiking around Mt. Cook and Franz Josef, these boots were amazing. And they still look new! They ran true to size for me and have great space in the toe box while providing excellent support. Great product.

I like to use the shoe for hiking. Bad weather doesn't bother them. Even in the city you are well dressed.
