Excellent Quality, Light And Comfy

Love the quality as usual. This Atom jacket is light and extremely comfortable especially the inner lining.

A Jacket For All Needs

I have the Atom vest and wanted the jacket. It’s good looking, warm, soft, & light. All the things I wanted in a fall & spring jacket as well as a mid layer for skiing. It fits all my needs. I had to wait all season for the color I wanted but it is worth the wait. Great jacket

Comfortable Jacket

Really comfortable jacket that goes well with almost any outfit. It's light and fits well. I am 185cm slim and M fits just right.

Great Jacket

This is a STELLAR JACKET. Lightweight. Amazingly warm. During hunting camp winter cold weather i was fine and others couldn't believe it. This jacket is well priced. I know it is expensive but once you use it a few times you will quickly figure out that it is worth every penny. I bought 3 of them.

Broken Zipper

Nice jacket but the hand pocket zipper broke and had to send it back for a replacement. Unfortunately I had to order a different color because my color choice was no longer available. Not really thrilled.

Nice Jacket, Terrible Zipper

Sizing was spot on. I'm 6' tall and 175 pounds and the Large fit me great. My only problem with the jacket, and this is a BIG problem, is the piece of crap zipper they use. It was very hard to get it to work. I have a Patagonia Nano Puff I purchased at the same time and their zipper is amazing, although I prefer the Arcteryx styling. Unfortunately, I had to return this jacket. Maybe it was a one-off problem, but I've heard from others that their zippers suck. Hey Arcteryx, upgrade to better zippers and I'll be your customer.

Please Make Tall Size Of This Excellent Jacket

The perfect jacket - it just isn’t made to fit me. The Atom jacket is singularly excellent in design, build quality and materials. I love it. It temperature regulates with underarm panels, looks good, is designed so well, and is durable. However, the sleeve and body length on size L is too short. I would please request that they make this jacket in tall sizing to fit tall thin people. I am 6’6” 205lbs, and size L fits in the width of body, but the sleeve and body of jacket are too short. I used to weigh more and had a XXL that fit great in the arms length. This is one of the most popular jackets that Arcteryx makes, and I think offering tall sizing would make it be an option for more people to wear and enjoy.

All Around

I wanted a thin insulated jacket as an all around jacket. A jacket I could wear anywhere. I can wear it when it is not too cold out, but just cold enough that I needed a jacket. I also wanted it as a base layer under my shell. This jacket is perfect for that. It is very comfortable and it fits well. I am 5’9” 175 with an athletic/muscular build I purchased a Medium and it fits great.

Comfort

Wear to comfortable with great experience also stylish

Light & Packable Active Mid-layer

This year I started traveling to snowboard and quickly learned that keeping weight and volume to a minimum while maximizing item versatility was extremely important. This sent me on a search for a mid-layer that fit these requirements. I ended up selecting the Atom as it could go under my shell for the coldest days and double as an outer piece for apres and about town on nicer days, while still packing up light and small. The biggest suprise when I tried it on was that the fit was a bit snug around the chest. I was worried it would be constricting during high intensity activity so I left the tag on. Took it snowboarding and to my delight once I put my shell on over it, it disappeared and I didn't give the Atom any thought until I was gearing down several hours later. Those stretch panels on the side do exactly what they're designed to do and allow the garment to stay close to your body without being constrictive. This is my first experience with a fitted mid-layer so this was very interesting to me. After that I popped the tag and started wearing it regularly. I noticed that even transitioning from outside to inside running errands and such, the jacket would disappear from my consciousness. That's a testament to it's thermo regulation capability - quite impressive. It will repel light drizzle and dries quickly which is nice. It can pack down into it's interior pocket in a pinch, easily fitting inside a small day pack. Overall it's one of the most interesting and versatile pieces of technical clothing I've owned and I'm pleased with my purchase. Fitted midlayers are cool!

Athletes Read This.

I purchased a size large, as I am 5’11, 195 pounds with an athletic build. The mid section of the jacket has extra room for a larger belly I assume, but the extra space luckily doesn’t poke out while I move around. The top of the jacket is a bit snug on my shoulders and pecs. The sleeves are perfect length and easy to move around. I can tell a difference in the warmth in comparison to other brands. Larger athletic guys beware, I wear a medium or large depending on the brand and I am glad I sized up, I am almost big enough to fill out an extra large in this brand even though I could still wear a medium hoodie from under armor.

Great Hiking Experience

I enjoy your products a lot. I have at least 15 jackets. I wish your product line naming system go back to SL LT AR SV etc. they were very scientific and precise.

Must Have

Me and my husband using the Atom jackets for many years as a second layer for hiking. Very breathable and warm enough for fall and winter hikes.

Terrible Redesign, Look Elsewhere

I’ve used the older version of this jacket for the past four years and absolutely loved it. Since mine was getting worn out, I ordered the new revised Atom Jacket and I’m extremely disappointed with the quality. I immediately noticed that it feels and looks cheaper than the previous model. The material is noticeably thinner and flimsier, and the overall fit is larger and less tailored. Unfortunately, I’ll be returning it and waiting to see if a future version improves. I’m not very optimistic, though, especially since Arc’teryx has publicly stated they’re shifting from being purely a technical outdoor brand to focusing more on fashion and lifestyle.
