Stiff And Clunky

I haven’t had an altra road shoe that I’ve liked since the Torin 4. 5. These have more than 80 miles on them and my feet still cramp every single run. They don’t bend in the ball or mid foot. The sole is significantly wider than the knit upper in the front half which means there’s no bend side-to-side either. The foam is stiff and unresponsive. I hate them. They’re only good for walking and short, slow runs with my dog. The only good thing I can say is that the sole shows almost no wear after 80-ish miles. Oh, and they’re hot. My Lone Peak 6’s have almost 800 miles and have been downgraded to road shoes. I love them - they’re my favorite shoe ever. I can’t find a replacement that moves like them.

Comfortable Shoes For Wide Feet

This shoes is a very good fit for someone who has wide feet. The toe box is very generous. Great shoes for daily walks and runs.

Great Shoes But...

The shoes are great!! They made me want to go out & run more but sadly they get super dirty real quick( I knew they would get dirty since I got the white ones but I have to wash them weekly cause they get dirty so easily & quickly) & I have had them for less than 4 months & the sides of the soles are wearing down. I do not use them every day or anything like that but it's sad that they're giving me these small issues.

Not The Same As Previous Torin Model 5

Wanted a new pair of Torin's as loved my Torin 5s. These fit very differently and don't seem to be breaking in. Will return

Hello Pain Free Running!!

I love these shoes so much. I've been running in them for 4 weeks now and I have not a shin splint in sight! I typically always get shin splints and lower back pain with running. These Torins are an answered prayer!

Foot Pain And Disappointment

Was disappointed in this shoe! Loved my Altra trail running shoes especially for the zero drop and comfortability but I wanted a pair for road/walking adventures so I was directed to purchase these. After two weeks of wear I still had so much foot pain, it's way too tight on the sides but it was so loose around my ankle. If I had sized up it would be simply too big. No amount of breaking in was going to help the tightness. It also gave me weird hip pain too, which I've never experienced before, and it ceased once I stopped wearing the shoes. Had to return :/

Great For Road And Treadmill Runs

I sized up 1/2 size from my usual size and found the promised land.

Painful And Narrow

These are the worst of a series of bad Torin models. They hurt my feet and won't break in. They're narrow. The ankle is loose. The laces are too stretchy. I'm looking at other brands again.

All I Can Say Is Ugh!! Altra What Have You Done?

I don't know who ultra thinks they're fooling, but I have gone through three pairs of Torin sneakers and have never had a problem, Until these!! The very comfortable toebox no longer exists my front toes on the outside at the top, where rubbing against the toebox and the cord at the top of the sneaker was cutting into my ankles. 20 minutes into a 40 minute workout. I had to take them off because they were killing my feet.!!

Love Them, Except For The Upper...

Amazing shoe, but - 300km in 5 months and upper started having holes and detaching from sole on one shoe. I wear them only in dry weather, only for road running. Lone Peaks upper is indestructible.

Buying 2nd Pair!

Sizing: I am normally a women's 10, in these I prefer a 10.5 Oftentimes, a 10.5 is not available, so I appreciate that half sizing. Also, if you're on your wide toe base journey, you know having a spacious toe box is part of the deal, so going up half a size sort of makes sense. I love these because they have a cushion, but a 0mm toe to heel drop. I am making my way towards a more barefoot lifestyle and these are perfect for that journey. I have had my current pair for a year and still wear them religiously- to work as a nurse, hiking, walking, practicing soccer, and to the gym for weight lifting. I also get compliments on this style of shoe. Love them!

Great Shoe Except...

Run half size small, size up. Also the laces are way too short for those of us with wide feet. I am barely or not able to tie the shoes. Please make the laces at least 5" longer.

I Will Be Purchasing Again!

My feet appreciate the extra stack height while maintaining the zero drop. I'm training for a fall half marathon.
